I watched the England v Tunisia match on the telly. Probably because there was little else on. I am not a fan of sport. OK I played rugby at school and for the police. Had many a pleasant snooze during a cricket match. To hell with darts. Snooker I often watch. So what's my gripe.
Eng v Tun. England started off great, remembering they were a new team, whatever that means. They raced ahead, well at half-time we were one up. Second half and all the energy had gone. Who knows, was it the plan to wait until the final last few minutes to strike again. If so. IMHO it was a drastic chance to take.

What's all this about the England team??? The majority of players are not English.

Then and perhaps finally of my grumble.
Why does the nation have to bow down to sport so much.
Why following any match, contest do we have to listen to a group pf highly paid former sportsmen, carrying out a post mortem on the contest. Hells bells we have sat and watched it all. We know so & so missed the penalty we saw it. Then with snooker. Yes he will go for the black and bounce the cue ball off the right cushion etc. I tend to turn the sound off. Anyone care for a pint and a game of dominos?

I've watched quite a lot of the games on and off. Not been over impressed with any team so far. Switzerland played well against Brazil and Mexico managed to hold on against Germany. I backed Brazil to win the world cup at the beginning. I thought it be a Spain v Brazil final before the Spanish manager got sacked.

Love a game of cribbage , best card game for two :blue thumb:
I was quite impressed with the England passing and positioning this time. Far superior to the normal 2 passes and lose the ball in previous comps. Feeling a little more positive now , they may have a good run :blue thumb:

Hi Harry , you have to remember that not all participating teams are countries in their own right. For instance the UK sends 5 teams... England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Gibralter. Another off the top of my head is Denmark who send three Denmark, Greenland and The Faroe Islands.

That must be it @KFF , multiple country entries :blue thumb: I thought Sepp Blatter was up to his tricks again.:snorky:
Jack the 211 was 210+1 for the hosts Russia . From the Wiki page you posted it showed
Teams expelled from the tournament by FIFA prior to playing a match
This was Indonesia , wonder what happened there !
