Thanks Woo, I know we have one or two in the past, all I can think of are Owen Hargreaves (born in Canada) and Graeme Le Saux (Channel Isles) who were both excellent players in my opinion.

Too many teams, too many games, it's all about money now.

Well it has been for over half a century.

They didn't get through the qualifiers Martin !

Don't forget all we see is the finals. The World Cup as a competition usually starts up again in the September following the final in July.

The only team not to have to qyalify is the next host nation (s).
So Quatar are automatically in the 2022 competion ( Joke of the century ), and both the USA and Canada are automatically in the 2026 competion.

We have the 2020 Euro Finals ,the draw will take place in December 2018;)

Wembley will host seven games at Euro 2020 after Uefa on Thursday handed the stadium the four matches scheduled for Brussels.

Uefa decided to reallocate the three group fixtures and one last-16 game given to the Belgian capital because of delays in the building of a 60,000-capacity stadium on the site of Heysel. Belgian authorities failed to provide guarantees the stadium would be ready.

From my time in Singapore I felt completely at home, to my mind it counts as another part of England (albeit with a nicer climate), they even drive on the right side of the road (which is the left just to clear that up) :)

Good evening just a little bit of news which I think is just great:smile:

Spain's Nacho Fernandez has given hope to millions of people with type 1 diabetes by becoming the first person with the condition to score in a World Cup.

Nacho, whose full name is Jose Ignacio Fernandez Iglesias, was told his "footballing days were over" after being diagnosed with type 1 diabetesaged 12.

But, determined to prove his doubters wrong, the 28-year-old has successfully forged out a professional career and now plays for one of the biggest teams in the world, Real Madrid.

Yeah but the ref was a really big help with Senegal's second.:snorky:

A bit like the England game last night, I hope the refs get a bit better as time goes on, they dont seem up to the job to me.
                          And what do I know?

He made that right Pete with Polands goal, it was offside they sent it to VAR and they said not, nothing wrong with my eyes i cant see any point having this Var if there not going to give proper decisions, must be something wrong with there eyes its a joke.

What VAR has got right - and wrong - in the 2018 World Cup so far

The object of the game should be to score goals, no wonder football is often so bloody boring:biggrin:
