Worst Fault!

Where do I start (ahahah)...?

In Italy we say "wanting to put dots on i" to describe a person that wants to make absolutely sure that the meaning of what he/she says is perceived right.

So I think I am a bit like that, when I want to address an issue I can insist forever on something for sake of making it clear. But I think I am improving on that.

PS what would be the translation in English of something like that?
