      It will next spring:) Just keep cutting the tentacles back to 2 or 3 buds from the framework!

      Ok, its had its second trimming today.... if it doesn't flower this year I am giving it the chop!

        Hi Kevin you should of pruned December, any chance of a close up on some of the ends of the shoots as you may have cut all the flower buds off already , to be honest with you I bet most on here would love the side of the garage covered in fresh green growth rather than just looking at pebble dash no harsh comment meant by that just my personnel thoughts, but its looking good and would be a shame to give it the chop.

          Hello again Kalvin:) I think it depends which book you read as to whether the winter prune is in December or January, but hopefully you'll get away with it:fingers crossed: All those short stems coming off the main stem will be forced into making flowering buds because they can't make more growth. If you do decide to keep it, you'll get more confident about taking out other branches to make an attractive framework, even when it's not in leaf. Then it really is just a case of chopping the wispy stems back to two buds twice a year.

            feck the flowers! if I had something half as nice as that id be delighted:thumbsup: flowers are overated, give me a nice bit of foliage any day ;)

              also a good idea is to feed with tomato food during the summer or any potassium based furtiliser product. use as if you were feeding tomatoes
