Good morning everyone,

Its really nice here today, no snow and the sun is out, its supposed to be around 65 here, and i plan on finishing my Christmas lights today.

Woo,thanks for your good wishes.:thumb:I'm still quiet rough with this Bronchitis and Mr K has been awake all night with a horrible sore throat and he sounds gruff today with that stinking cold he has picked up.He has a day off from work today but won't feel like doing much other than staying inside in the warm:(

Shiney glad to hear that you had a good time in Daventry and you didn't do too badly in the tournament considering how many were playing:thumb:

Sorry to hear about the passing of your cousin and it sounds like everyone will be rushing around if the funeral is today.Down our way it usually takes a week to get the preperations done and the relatives together.Hope it all goes well for you:thumb:

Rosa,hope you are feeling better this morning and that your trip to Amsterdam goes off ok with a good crossing:gnthb:

Anyway,we have woken up this morning to thick fog and it is also very damp out there with a heavy dew,although the sun is trying to come out now:D

good morning all my dear friends thought id pop in before i get ready and got loads to do before i leave for amsterdam.
leaving at 2 as ship goes at 5 and we will arrive in amsterdam next morning.

Well Mr K still feels rough with his cold/man flu:D so won't be going back to work today,but he has ust got up and says he is going to see if he can get in to see the Dr because he has such a bad sore throat it is getting him down.Now he knows how i felt the other week:p although i wasn't happy when he said i had given it to him.I knew I would get the blame somewhere along the line:p

Anyway,it is foggy again out there today so i don't think we will be going far today.Hope you all have a good day in all that you do:luv:

Its going to be around 60 degrees here, so i am going to putter outside and have a couple of small jobs to do out there, so today is a good day to do them.

Just popped in to say hello. Its a bit all go at this end. My baby grandaughter came home last Friday and is piling on the weight and looking more gorgeous by the day. Im taking it day by day coz of my dickie back causing a trapped nerve in my leg I fell down the stairs backwards a week ago. Falling on your head is not good, causing extensive swelling to my head and eyes. Getting over the worst of it now, Im more pink and yellow rather than black and purple. )) . My friend with the terminal cancer I told you about gets wed this Saturday and Im doing the buffet, so it's go go go. I just hope she has a lovely day to remember. Im just worried it might be just a bit to much for her as she is on the morphine now. Anyway, fingers crossed. We will make it work. Als got to go back for tests after his check up as they are not entirely happy. :( Im not religious as such but I do understand the statement we have our crosses to bare.) Everyday Im alive at the moment I am grateful for. ) Sorry Ive just read over this and it looks grim. Its not all bad we go to Madeira for a week on the 30th of this month and I am really looking forward to it. Cant wait to get back to a normal life and catch up with you all. Shiney,Mr K says Thanks for the get well wishes:gnthb:he still feels rough and hasn't gone to work again this morning but he had a better nights sleep.He never went to see the Dr in the end but just rested in the warm all day although at times the house was boiling with the heating on so i was feeling uncomfortable in the end:( Yes it is true about them blaming us women for their ills but as i pointed out to him,I had Bronchitis and not a cold/man flu so he must have got it from one of his friends whom he works with:D I am a lot better although i can't stop this coughing lark:p

Glad that Sunday went off ok,although it was a pain going all the way back home after the bridge tournament,only to have to come all the way back again for the funeral:(

Good luck with the shopping and the meetings over the next couple of days and please send our regards to Mrs Shiney and our love to Oscar and your new cat Montyk-lk-lWe still have Davina/Uggy living with us and her owner knocked on the door last week to take her to the vets to find out how he can stop her living with us.He wasted his money as she arrived back early the next morning and has stayed ever since.We have come to the conclusion that she loves our Willow more than him so he will have to accept it:rotfl:k-l

Anyway,yesterday afternoon I went up into the loft and brought down two dustbin bags full of flowerpots to dump and a bag full of gardening mags which were quiet heavy so I weighed the bag on the bathroom scales and it came to 1 1/2 stone eeeek,so i have been shredding them along with some old phone directories and all the shreddings will go onto my compost heaps next time i get over to the allotment:thumb:At least the loft is a bit lighter now:D
