    Good morning everyone,

Its going to be another nice day here, not as warm, but sunny none the less.

We also had a heavy frost overnight too, but its better then snow i guess.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Good morning everyone,

It is a bright sunny day today so I shall try and do some leaf clearing.

Whilst I was out shopping yesterday I bought a present for Monty the cat up the road. It is a grooming glove. Oscar has one and loves it. We noticed that Monty has lots of loose fur and mentioned it to his humans before they went on holiday. They said they had never thought of grooming him as he seems to spend all day doing it for himself :)

Mrs shiney went out to the greenhouse a few minutes ago to feed Oscar and found Oscar sleeping in his house and Monty sleeping alongside on Oscar's blanket k-l k-l k-l

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Tried to put up a post on here yesterday but half way through typing it all in the machine decided to do some updates and i lost the whole lot:mad:

Anyway,it is Friday 13th so we will see what goes on with the world today:oops::p

Shiney, big mistake with the grooming glove as you will never get rid of monty now:hehe:You will have to take some piccys of him so we can see what he looks like:)

When the fireworks were going off here last Saturday Willow and Uggy/Davina went missing and later on I found them both on a chair each under the dining room table where we push the chairs to the table when we have finished eating:D Uggy hides in there now so that she can't be chucked out, rather than hiding behind the doors. These cats are sooooo intelligent:D

Peri glad that you had a good weekend in Norfolk and glad that you saw some good birds.:gnthb:How did your other half manage to pay the bill twice?I would have thought there would have been something in the book/computer to show it had aleady been paid.I am not sure how Hotels and B&B's work as it has been years since i stayed in one:p
Sounds like you enjoyed the sing song in the pub but 1am for bed time would have been tiring for me and Mr K:snz::D

Well we have had rain for the last two days but at least the garden and allotment is being watered and the ground cracks are closing up at long last:D

Mr K went back to work yesterday so the house is cooler now that I have turned the heating down:D

    I have managed to shred so much stuff that I have got four bags full to take over to the allotment sometime when the weather is drier{not this weekend then:D}

Hope everyone has a good day without too many problems:)

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

Kandy, it sounds as though you are getting better - can't hear you coughing :hehe:. I'll try and get a photo of Monty. He is also black and white with a lot more black than Oscar - and not quite as handsome k-l. Oscar is very laid back and when one of our neighbours had a big firework display he was fast asleep in the greenhouse.

Peri, sorry your OH has had a bit of trouble with the hotel but it should get sorted easy enough. A few years ago we had a similar situation but the opposite way round. Some of the things at the hotel weren't right and some were a lot worse than that. I wrote them a very nice email (after complaining at the time) listing the problems and how they should be able to correct them. They sent a reply thanking me for the time I took to write my report and that they had refunded the total bill (£260) to my credit card - which they did. Two weeks later I received a cheque for £260 as well. Being the good boy that I am :hehe:, I phoned their accounts department to tell them what they had done. The girl at the other end obviously wasn't interested in listening to what I had said and kept interrupting me saying. In a nasty tone she said 'Errors can't be rectified afterwards!'. So I said 'thanks very much' and hung up. Then I banked the cheque :rotfl: :rotfl:

It has been raining here all night so no leaf clearing today. We have been invited to friends for lunch.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Its going to be another nice day here, low 60's(around 62), which is odd for us this time of the year.

Off to see my daughter at school tomorrow, and take her down a bunch of food.

    Good morning everyone,

Rosa glad you had a lovely time over in Amsterdam, did you drink the ship dry or did you leave enough for the other passengers?:D Your windmill buy sounds nice but I don't think Mr K would be happy with me if i had one of those as the music would soon do his head in:hehe:

Shiney, hope all goes well today with the students and hope the weather stays fine for you all:thumb:We have had strong winds and heavy rain here since last night and i am just hoping that not too many places have got flooded:(

I'm still coughing well and i think it will go on for weeks yet.I keep trying to surpress the coughs but in the end they get the better of me.:( I have small bottles of iced water that i keep in the fridge and freezer and find sipping them helps my throat especially the nice cold ice crystals. My Glands still feel painful though. Thanks for asking, cough, cough:D:luv:

Peri,I shall have to download the memory card onto the computer now that it is full because I think i got some photos of Uggy under the table but if I remember rightly Willow legged it when he saw the camera as he is camera shy at times:p

We can't get over to the allotment at the moment as it is far too wet and we still have the winter broad beans to go in.I wanted Mr K to sow them for me a few weeks ago but he said it was too early and now the weather has changed again so at this rate they won't get in before xmas:(

Anyway, while the weather is bad we are going xmas shopping to get most of it out of the way.We already have brought loads for family but we want to get each others today if we can and then they can go off to Father Christmas until the big day:hehe:

Hope you all have a great day and that you don't get too blown about.:)

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

Kandy, sorry to hear you are still not better :( but I'm pleased you are improving :luv:.

    rosa, welcome back :thumb:

The gales last night were pretty strong but early this morning we had beautiful sunshine and no wind. Then about 8.30 the sky went black and the heavens opened so no gardening today either.

    This is Monty

    Morning Rosa and everyone,

Rosa, the cats got me up at 6.15am this morning wanting to be fed so i never get the chance of a lie ink-l:(

Nice to hear you did well on the gee gee's.I wanted to get a Euro lottery ticket the other week but felt so rough i couldn't be bothered to walk down to the shop.It would have been nice to have won that £45,000,000 imagine the field day you would have trying to spend that lot.:p The first thing i would have bought would have been a large field with stables and then a string of horses for me and all my friends to ride:D Love your windmill, flowers and clog:gnthb:

Shiney, brilliant photo's of Oscar's best friend Monty and he looks most comfortable with Oscar:thmb: When Uggy and Willow are in the same room together and Uggy wants to get out it walks in a slow big circle to get past Willow, avoidng eye contact. It is so amusing to watch:D

Anyway,me and Mr K went off to town yesterday and bought our xmas prezzies to each other so they just need wrapping and tagging and we also got a nice book of steam trains from M&S for his sisters hubby and while we were in there I spotted a gold pig money box and it was reduced in price so i treated myself to one:p

Oh and i forgot to say that when we went to park the car in the multi storey half of the machines wouldn't take the coins so we and loads of other shoppers spent ten minutes trying to find other coins in our purses that the machines would accept, grrrrrr. They would be better off employing someone to sit behind a screen like they do in the banks, taking the money and issuing the tickets. It would give someone a job and would save money on not having to buy new machines. No wonder everyone goes of to Peterborough and MK to do their shopping:(

We have lamb today for dinner so will have to go and get that and the veggies prepared soon :D

The wind has died down although it is wet out there today so I don't think we shall be gardening today, cough cough:D

Hope you all have a good one:luv:

Good morning rosa, Kandy and everyone,

After yesterday's gales and rain it has started off a nice sunny morning (but it started off sunny yesterday as well). One of the towns over this way had a tornado that damaged 60 houses.

Kandy, I don't think that everything is all sweetness and light between Oscar and Monty :(. I think Monty has now decided to take over and Oscar gets second choice of where to sit. Monty seems to have taken over his blanket. I tried chasing him out of the propagator and putting Oscar back in but Monty just hid behind some of the plants on the shelf.

I asked Monty's human's daughter to come round in the afternoon (when she would normally feed Monty) and take him and put him in the conservatory that has his bed and box. Naturally, when she came round Monty had disappeared.

His humans come back in a couple of days so we should get it sorted then. Mrs shiney is just about to go out and feed Oscar and see what the situation is. If it doesn't get sorted soon then it may have to be water pistols at dawn. :hehe:

    Have a great day :D

    Update:

Oscar on blanket in propagator, Monty on floor, small amount of fur in propagator (don't know whose). Mrs shiney picked up Monty to put him out and Oscar started growling at him. Monty put outside and greenhouse door closed. Monty sitting at back door and miaowing. Mrs shiney will attempt to carry Monty back home and feed him there.

Further updates of the conflict will come from our roving reporter. :hehe:
