    Further update:

Monty submitted to being carried part of the way up the road but, like Oscar, he doesn't like roads at all and jumped out of Mrs shiney's arms and disappeared into someone's garden. When Mrs shiney reached his humans' house Monty turned up so she fed him.

Greenhouse door is now open. Will see what happens later.

    Shiney you have me in stitches here with your roving report{you or Monty doing the roving:hehe:}

We have just got back indoors from a pleasant Sunday morning walk and as we came in Uggy ran out through the cat flap because Mr Kandy only has to look at her and she scarpers:DI had closed all the bedroom doors plus the dining room one when we wnet out thinking that she was already out but when we came back she had been hiding in the lounge:oops::pprobably behind the door knowing her:D

Shiney it doesn't matter how many times we put uggy out or her owner comes to collect her she still finds her way back as they only live a stones throw from our house. We have also tried the water pistols at dawn but it doesn't work.As soon as the cat is dry it comes straight back:p:D

Hope you soon get the problem resolved although it is nice to hear about their exploits.Cats don't you just Love themk-lk-l:rotfl:

    Good morning Kandy and everyone:D

The wet stuff is falling out there again and the wind has picked up again so it looks like I shall be stuck indoors again today:(

Had a lovely dinner yesterday and after a nice sit down to let it go down we decided to pop out for a couple of hours. We visited a couple of GC's and luckily because I had taken my camera got some good photos of some of the Christmas displays and then at the last one there was a lady with a Barn Owl so managed to get a couple of photo's of it although it was more sleepy than anything:D Came home had a nice tea and then sat and watched Counrtyfile and Ray Mears and while Mr Kandy watched Top Gear ,in I stuck me ear phones in and listened to some You Tube music, then we went off to bed.:)

Hope you all have a great day in all that you do:luv:

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

    Oscar update:
After Oscar appeared to have evicted Monty from the propagator and Mrs shiney took Monty to his home we haven't seen Monty - but we haven't looked this morning. Oscar spent all the rest of the day asleep in his house except for the short period when I was there stroking and scratching him - which he couldn't get enough of, as usual :hehe: k-l k-l k-l. I noticed he had been licking his fur in a couple of places (very wet) so I guess he may have a few scratches underneath. Mrs shiney will check him out today.

Our weekend went well, the students were very nice and all of them will get their certificates. Saying the word 'student' makes it sound as though they are all young but they are always adults. This weekend's bunch included someone who owns their own company and employs 700 people and an executive at a BMW garage. Last time it included a doctor.

They all enjoyed the meals I cooked and they all wanted printouts of my recipes :thmb:

It's raining again this morning. I'm off to the hygienist soon to have my regular maintenance of my teeth and then I have meetings this afternoon so the rain won't bother me. :)

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Shiney i do hope that Oscar hasn't been too badly injured through fighting with Monty as they reckon cat bites are the worst.I'm sure Mrs Shiney will sort him out and glad to see that Monty has stayed home:gnthb:

Glad that the students had a good time at your house and that they enjoyed the food you cooked for them.:D

Rosa, love the monkey. We used to belong to the WWF as it was known then back in the 80's but had to pack it in in the end when the interest rates went through the roof and we could no longer support it.They do a fantastic job in the preservation of endangered species.:)

I went baby sitting last night and my friends daughter was telling me all about her trip to Lapland she is going on with her mum and nan next month.I asked if i could go with them but i got a sharp NO,so that was the end of that:(:D

I had a bad night last night, kept having coughing fits so I feel quiet worn out this morning and then when i did sleep had a weird dream about dentists:p

The rain has stopped again and the wind has finally died down.I had to go and rescue my neighboures wheely bin yesterday after the men had been because the wind had trundled it into the road, eeek.i don't know why he couldn't have got it in himself as he was home all day:(

Anyway, hope you all have a good day:)

Good morning Penny, rosa, Kandy and everyone,

Kandy, I hope your cough gets better soon and that you manage to get some sleep :luv:

It is a bright, dry (ish) and calm day today. Even though I had a busy day I managed to get the mower out and clear leaves from the main lawn (loads of them). I couldn't do any of the other lawns because the wind was much too strong - the main lawn is sheltered quite a bit by trees and shrubs. I also sorted out the bird feeders and put fleece on the banana plant - quite difficult in the wind so had to also tie it in place.

Oscar seems fine and spent most of the day asleep on his blanket. At one time Monty crept into the greenhouse (when it was raining) and slept on the floor. They seem to have worked out who's boss :thumb:

I have another busy day today so may not get a chance to do more leafing. I'm also working on a plan to raise more money for the Grove Cottage charity - the one we opened our garden for. :)

    Have a great day :D

good morning kandy, shiney and everyone,
its very windy here and overcast this morning.
kandy pleased you like the monkey on the ship on the way to amsterdam that monkey cost 48 euros but on the way back i got it for 22 euros so was quite pleased getting it at that price at least they will get some money towards the preservation of endangered species.
i would love to go to lapland bet its a fantastic place to visit all that lovely snow.
    hope your feeling better.
shiney pleased to hear oscar is fine and do good with the grove cottage charity.

    Morning Shiney:)

Glad to hear you managed to get the mower out yesterday.:gnthb: Our grass is quiet long on the lawns but have been unable to cut it due to either heavy rain, strong winds or this chest complaint. No sooner does it start to dry out then we have loads more rain.:p

I have taken indoors all my plants {Orchids} and xmas cactus thaat don't like the frost and at the moment my cactus are all in flower and they lookm really good and I have one Orchid {Cymbidium} with a nice flower spike on it about to flower, plus my Paelanopsis{Spelling} plants that I had for xmas last year are having another flowering session so am well pleased with them.Good value me thinks:gnthb: Have you and Mrs Shiney got any Orchids?

I have moved my bird feeders nearer to the house so I don't end up slipping on the grass when i have to go and fill them up.There was a nice Jenny Wren calling this morning which was nice to see:D

Glad to hear that Oscar and Monty have got the pecking order sorted out,but i htink you need to buy him a basket like Oscars so he doesn't get too cold sleeping on the cold floor:hehe:

Good Luck with the charity plan and hope again that you have a nice day:luv:

    Morning Rosa,

Nearly missed you there:D I would love to go to Lapland and I would also like to stay in the Ice Hotel but unless i start to do the Lottery or the Football Pools again, I doubt if i shall get there especially at the price of it:p My friends daughter was going all through her mums Next book showing me all the things she wants Santa Claus to buy her, some hope she has got there:D Her mum was telling me that when they go to Lapland they have to take the letter that her little girl wrote and then it is passed along the lines of elves to Father Christmas so that when she gets to sit on his knee he will have the letter that she wrote ready to raed out to her,how sweet is that:D

I think you got a good bargain with that Monkey Rosa and I love your moving road way:gnthb:

I am going to log off now as I have a headache starting to come on so will catch up with you later.Take Care:luv:
