    Good morning everyone,

A bit dull and murky out there at the moment.

I was too busy yesterday to pop on here but had a good day :thumb:. Got a lot of tidying up in the garden done and shifted a lot of compost. I may put some pics on 'Today in the Garden' later, just to show off :hehe:

Kandy, sorry to hear about Mr K's accident. I hope it all works out OK.

All of you look after yourselves and have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Its cold here and raining and supposed to switch over to snow later today.

It feels odd not having snow yet, we get a little and then comes the rain and washes it away, and now its so muddy and dirty looking out there.........yuck!!!!!

    Greetings everyone.

Marley and Shiney,Mr Kandy has put the car damage in the hands of his insurers so they will claim off of the other guys insurance with luck.

Shiney it sounds like you are quiet busy in the garden at the moment:gnthb: although for us it has been so wet theses last few days i haven't been able to get anything done in the garden at all,but i am glad i got the winter broad beans in at the allotment finally:D

Had a good day yesterday getting in front with my ironing and other jobs round the house as the weather was terrible and it rained again for most of the day:(

I haven't looked out yet so don't know whether we got that heavy frost that was forecast:p

Hope everyone has a good day:luv:

    Morning Rosa,

You must have come on while i was busy getting my breakfast:DSounds like you are going to busy today with visiting your daughter.Yes the years roll past so fast.I have found photos of family relatives on Facebook who were children when their mothers and fathers split up and moved away and it was a bit of a shock to see how they had grown:p It must be nice to be surrounded by little ones Rosa, does it make you feel like a youngster again yourself?:D

I like you xmas avatar and signature as well and i do love Roders one thta he has put up:)

I tried adding some more little gifs alongside my xmas tree this morning to fill up the signature box but it says I was up to my limit of four so will have to just have a gap alongside it.:(

Peri, hope you enjoy your weekend away and that you see some good birds:gnthb: and yes the books were a bargain considering they are all brand new:)

Anyway, must go as I have sat here too long:p

    Have a nice day now:luv:

    Good morning everyone,

Today is going to be the busiest day of the week for me :(. I've got this picture in my head of the White Rabbit running around saying 'No time, no time!' :hehe: My meetings start at 10 a.m. this morning and I don't expect to get back home until gone midnight.

Kandy, Vi is in hospital because she can't walk (as well as all the other things wrong) and I am trying to arrange for her to get into rehab with physio etc. Barry is very upset. With a bit of luck I shall see the chief Exec of the hospital at one of my meetings and will badger him. If we can get her well enough to return home we have already organised for the Occupational Therapist to assess the house. Then I will have to get the Council involved as it is their property.

    Got to rush.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Rosa and everyone.

I've been up since sixish but have been answering emails from some of my friends and have just finished my brekkie so thought i would pop on here to say Hi:D

Penny, yes I did see we have the same gif:gnthb: I think i got mine last year when i did some Googling and had a few more but can't seem to find them now:(Good luck with the tree,we don't put one up as we do something different at xmas so they go up then:D

Shiney, sorry to hear about Vi and Barry with their predicament.I do hope that everything turns out ok for them especially with you doing what you can for them both:luv:.It isn't a pleasant thing to happen this side of Christmas but at least she is hopefully getting a reasonable standard of care now she is in hospital.I am dreading old age and all that goes with it especially when the body starts to wind down.I know of several elderly people that have said they are not happy the way things are with their health and they say they are ready to go and join their loved ones,it is so sad:(Please let us know how things go for them:thumb:

Marley,i was raeding your dipped flower thread earlier and had forgotten about your dipping.I had some large candles up in the loft that had burnt down in the middle so stuck them up in the loft for a couple of years, then when i was having a purge on my hoarding I am sure I threw them away.I have roses in flower at the moment and could have used the wax to try dipping them:dh:I am in decluttering mode at the moment and I am sure half the stuff that has gone to the tip could have been used at a later date, but the loft is groaning under the weight of it all:lollol:

Rosa, glad you enjoyed the birthday party although you have kept the curry:hehe:The time just flies past :DGood luck with your contacts.I have a thing about eyes so would never be able to take them out or put them back in again:pHope everything goes ok with the new kitty and I wonder if you will go home with one as well:D

Hope you all have a good day.We are off grocery shopping this morning as we have £28 worth of Mr T vouchers to use as we forgot to take the ones we had last month with us and they have sent us Februarys vouchers early so that will go nicely towards the bill:D

    Good morning everyone,

I see that you are all getting ready for Christmas :thumb: :)

We have friends coming for dinner today and I had planned everything that I was going to cook and had done the shopping :yho:. Now, at the last minute, we have more coming. So back to the drawing board :hehe:. I'll have to do more shopping and pick some more Romanesco. I'm very happy to plan and cater for more people but can't stand going shopping on Saturdays :)

    Have a great day :D

evening everyone, got my contacts they are fine much better than my glasses only problem ive got the bone under my right eye is very sore dont know why.
my friend didnt get a cat we saw a lovely black and white one she wanted and went to the office and they wanted £80 for her i couldnt believe it so when they are charging these prices no wonder they are left with 56 stray cats and they want from £110 for dogs, went in to the dog shelters and ive never seen so many staffordshire bull terriers needing homes.
    have a nice night all

    Good morning eveyone,

Up early this morning due to one of the cats playing on the stairs with a leaf from my Jade plant that must have fallen from one of the branches,so here i am again although i would have liked a lie in:ywn::D

Rosa, the price that has to be payed to these places is for the spaying of the animal and the injections, flea and worm treatment I believe to help cover the costs, but I might be wrong there:pThey look at it that if someone is that interested in haveing one of the dogs or cats then that is a small price to pay.A lot of people will pay hundreds of pounds for a so called pedigree dog,my sister being one of them payed £600 for a black lab, which she had visions of showing but because of a kink in it's tail is no good as a show dog.The breeders usually keep the best of the litter for themselves and get rid of the not so perfect ones,so looking at it that way,the amount you have to pay at these rescue centres is small, and a lot of the dogs in there are so called pedigree dogs.

Another reason for the charge I believe is if you have paid ex amount of pounds for an animal then you show comitment and are likely to keep said animal and not get rid of it six months down the line:p

There are loads of staffie type dogs in all these rescue centres because no one wants a dog that they think might attack a child. On the Many Tears site i ued to peruse they have loads of Westie's as they are one of the dogs of the moment, and that site is full of sick Westie breeding stock that are no longer wanted by the breeders after they have given birth to umpteen litters of pups and are no longer viable. It used to make me want to weep when I saw the photos of some of them with their sores, and we are supposed to be a nation of animal lovers:(

    Anyway,the wind is howling out there and the rain is lashing down on the windows so time for me to go and get some brekkie me thinks and a nice mug of Rosie Lee {as in tea...Early Grey:D}

Hope you all have a great day because I know I will:luv:
