    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

It's only raining a little bit here but is a bit blowy.

rosa, I think that £80 is cheap for a cat that has been checked out and is healthy. If people don't want to pay that for a little companion and friend then I think they don't really want a cat. What they like is the idea of having a cat without thinking of the committment that it entails.

I know that it is easy for me to say that when we didn't have to pay to get Oscar. He was the one that decided that he wanted to be with us and wouldn't take no for an answer k-l k-l k-l. You couldn't put a value on him - he is priceless and is a real person :)

I think that your friend needs to think deeply about whether she really wants a cat.

I'm not having a go at you because I know that you are a loving pet person :flag: :luv:

Our friends left at 2 a.m. so Mrs shiney is still in the land of Nod :hehe:

    Have a great day :D

morning kandy, shiney and everyone, i quite agree with you both im under the same impression that its the neutering etc that bumps the price up and also they will be charging these prices thinking iff someone doesnt pay this sort of money in future they cant afford to keep a stray, my friend is a cat lover she had her lovely tom a ginger cat put to sleep as someone hit him on his back when he was out and she was just devistated to lose him at the time, iff it was me looking for one i would pay that money because of what this place pays out to look after all these animals.
    anyway have a nice day

Good morning Peri, Rosa and everyone,

Peri, glad to hear that your weekend went well and hope you saw plenty of birds.:thumb:We had a buzzard swoop down on the grass verge in front of us Saturday when we were coming back from shopping but it made a pigs ear of the landing so we suspect it was a juvenile and inexperienced:D We also popped out to see the Great White Egret that has been near us for a week.It was over the other side of the water but Mr Kandy spotted it with the scope.I took a photo of it on max zoom and when i look back at it,it is just like a small dot:oops::p

Rosa, i want it to snow as well at xmas.It doesn't feel like xmas when it is dull ,wet, and windy:(Still as long as we can get some good walking in then we shall take what the weather people throw at us:hehe:

Have to go to the Dentist this morning because when I was in bed on Saturday evening reading my book a large piece of filling from one of my top teeth fell out:oops:Luckily I didn't swallow it so now have to go and see when they can fit me in.I expect it will cost a small fortune as it was a big filling and they do new ones in that white stuff:p

Anyway,it is dark here but dry so had better go and make a start to the day.Have a good one everyone:luv:

    Good morning everyone,
The days are flying by and I don't seem to catch up on all I have to do :(. I just have to plod through them to get them out of the way before we go. :) One of the important things has been done - I've bought two month's supply of cat food for Oscar :thmb: k-l k-l

Peri, I'm pleased you enjoyed your break :thumb:

Kandy, sorry to hear you have filling problems :(. The white fillings are bound to be more expensive but are much better. There is research that has found the amalgam (silver/black) fillings can be quite dangerous and you are lucky you didn't swallow it. The dangerous chemical in them is mercury. They recommend that if you have fillings you should not use chewing gum - but the chewing gum manufacturers don't agree :hehe:

I'm off to the chiropodist shortly to get my feet sorted before I go away :old:

    Have a great day :D

    Morning Shiney,

I think you need to make sure you have at least three months food for Oscar just in case whoever is looking after Oscar can't get in to feed him or in case Monty dives in and eats it all first.:D

I've just been down to the Dentists in the village and they can't get me in until December 18th due to it being the run up to Christmas:(I don't need to go until April as I have just been for my six monthly check up but I dare not leave it in case an infection gets in:pShiney I had a white filling earlier this year I think it was and it was £60 odd pound then and that was only a small one, this is half a tooth:oops:

Yes I know about the Mercury in the Amalgan fillings and the fact that they are dangerous. To tell you the truth I haven't felt 100% for years ever since I started having my teeth filled and i heard once about a lady from Wellingborough who was checked out I think by a Dermatologist but can't be sure and she had got Mercury poisoning and had to have all the old fillings removed and changed to white ones, then had to go on a special diet which in the end improved her health no end.I am always chewing gum{Airwaves} as I find they help with keeping my coughs at bay.If I didn't eat chewing gum I have to suck on a sweet, and I think the gum is better.I don't eat the gum all day and night as I have my water to drink,it's just when we go for our walks and I feel a tickle coming on. I got the hiccups Saturday night first time in ages and it took me ages to get rid of them:D

Enjoy your trip to the Chiropodist.I have a voucher from Birthday prezzie my friend brought me and I keep meaning to make an appintment for some foot pampering but keep forgettin g to ring up as I have been so busy of late:D

    Good morning everyone,

Well today rolled round quick again. It doesn't seem five minutes since I was last here typing away:D I was talking to Mr Kandy on Sunday about computers and I said that when I was at school learning typing on the Olivetti{sp} typewriters they had I could never imagine that forty odd years later I would be using a similar sort of thing to send messages to friends and family.Good job all this doesn't have to go by snail mail as the Royal Mail would be having to work even harder to deliver stuff:Dand I remember having a Petite{sp} toy typewriter and it had a bit on the top that had all the letters on and you turned it to get the letter lined up with a pointer I think it was then you must have hit something for it to print on the paper.I must be getting old if I can remember that far back. Now where did I leave my car keys:D

Anyway,it rained all day yesterday and the wind howled as well and now we have standing water all over the place but from what the weather men were saying at the weekend we are due milder weather by the end of the week:yho:

Mr Kandy had the hire car delivered at his works yesterday and they took our car to have the repairs done to it.The hire car is a blue Ford Focus and it looks nearly brand new:D

Anyway, hope you all have a great day in all that you do:)
