    Morning friends :luv:
Have a safe journey Rosa :gnthb:
We have had more snow here and it is looking like a winter wonderland outside. I need to go outside brrrr and clear a patch of earth for the blackbirds. I may even build a snowman/woman

    Take care everyone.

Good afternoon everybody! Well, OH and one of the boys gritted and shovelled the hill outside our place this morning to make as much effort as possible to safely get out to school/work - and they finally got there around 10 am, only to have them close the school at noon! Wonder how many staff at the school (and students) will make the same effort tomorrow! Litlte guys are all home, I'm still in my fleecy pj's, fleecy housecoat, fluffy socks and slippers......and able to work - love telecommuting :)

Rosa - hope you have had a safe journey to pick up your hubby - will be a wonderful day for both of you. Let him complain about the heat in Africa.....a snowball down the back of his trousers will cure him of that :) Enjoy your time together - dont' expect we will see alot of you over the next few days :)

Jazmine - we were tempted to do a snow woman too last night......but nah.....it's just a run of the mill snowperson! Hope you've had fun and the blackbirds appreciate your efforts :) We've had loads of birds out there this morning, have been taking out 'warmish' water for fresh water, as if I take out regular temp water, it freezes too quick.
Take care everybody and have a safe afternoon :)

Had a pleasant day out then went to see little man as he is 5 years old bless him. We had some fun with him and are invited to his pizza party at Pizza Hut on Saturday. Oh how I am enjoying this "nanny" thing :luv::luv::luv:

    Good morning everyone,

Very busy yesterday after over sleeping so didn't get on here in the end.Cleaned out all the caravan which was a long job and now this morning will be hoovering it out ready for it going back into storage hopefully, thats if we don't get too snowed in.:pGlad that Mr Kandy has got the heating on inside the van,or I would have had to have worked quiet fast to get the dusting and cleaning done:D

My sister couldn't get out of their drive the other day as it is on a slope so had to ring the hospital and leave a message letting them know what had gone on.It is a 45 minute drive to the hospital so even if they had managed to get going there is no saying that they would have got there ok.:(

We are supposed to be going out for a meal on Sunday with Mr Kandy's family to celebrate his dads 90th birthday but if we get the snow that is being forecast we or the staff might not get there and the restaurant is a good twenty miles away,so we will see what happens

Woo thanks for your kind words:gnthb:

Rosa, glad that you managed to pick up your hubby after all that snow and you will have to be as quiet as a mouse while he catches up on much needed sleep.I bet it was a shock to see all that cold and South Pole weather conditions:p

Hope you all have a good and safe day.:)

Hi Peri,I never saw you pop up there and hope you are coping ok with this cold weather.Luckily for me the heating is on in the van so cleaning it out isn't too bad.I would have had to let Mr Kandy do it if it was cold inside:D

My father in laws village was on the news the other day as they have had more snow this time than we have had and if we have more then he will be stuck as his daughter and her hubby are supposed to be picking him up and none of them have got suitable cars for snow travelling.I would rather leave it until the weather got a bit better but once they set their minds to do something they don't like changing plans:(

Hope your day is good, just going to start doing the hoovering:)

Good morning everybody fro a still snowy backdrop!

Rosa - glad that you were able to get hubby without toooooooo much trouble! Hope you didn't hurt yourself when you slipped on the ice and are none the worse for wear.

I ventured out in the car this morning with the thoughts that if I don't like what I see at the next hill, we turn around and come home. All the neighbourhood has been doing their bit though shovelling, gritting etc., and it was a very safe and non slippery drive up to the main road. So a stock up on a couple of necessities and a stop at the farm shop for fresh fruit and vege was in order. All done now, we can hibernate another few days or so :) Our sales conference in Hampshire was postponed till Monday - so of course hoping for that big next dump of snow on Sunday that is predicted :)

Agree with supporting groups such as the RSPB - of course we all have our own things that we choose to support - I'm in the process of helping my son organise a dragon boat race for the summer - he's rallying local rival schools in a challenge to raise the most money for their chosen charity - they will each choose their own charity or group to raise money from.

Penny - I'm sure you're familiar with the 'adopt a family for christmas' program (sure they have it in Ontario as it's everywhere else in Canada) - but we're slowly getting that off the ground here with various schools and organisations taking it on themselves - doesn't go through us, we just get them interested in the concept - and 100% of their donation goes directly to their 'end' user. But it's nice to see the list of participating organisations grow each year. So yes, important to contribute to various groups - be it with money, time, fundraising efforts. A little time costs nothing in the grand scheme of things. The 'month of Movember' was a fun fundraiser to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer - having had two family members diagnosed with cancers in the last couple of years,, and have them both around healthy - it's wonderful to be able to support/organise events in honour of the fact I have my father still around, as well as a niece who still has her husband.

Anyways - way off topic - have a good safe day everybody - stay warm!

    Evening friends :luv:

Here is the snowy view from my window at the front. I tried to make a snowman but it was the "wrong type" of snow.

Looks lovely Kath - kids tried to build another today, but today's snow is too dry and just crumbles under pressure.....so we want some of the 'right' snow now right? haha
