Good morning everyone (if it is morning ),

I have finally arrived in a place where I can get to the internet :gnthb:. I hope you have all had a good new year and are managing OK with the snow and cold.

I am in sunny Sidney but shall be home soon. The temperature reached 37C today but some of the places I have travelled through have been exceptionally hot with temperatures up to 40C and more with the humidity 90% or more. I know it may sound good to you at the moment but it can be almost unbearable :(. I'll be pleased to get back to some cold weather but I'm sure that I shall be moaning about it before long :)

Keep well everyone and I shall be back in a few days :thmb:

Good Day Shiney and Mrs Shiney and a Happy New Year to you both and nice to see you are both well:luv:

Sorry to hear about your horrible hot weather:flag::oops::D and hope that you both havn't been suffering too much over there.I don't like this country when it gets up into the 30's so I would have frazzeled in that heat:(

Us here have been gripped by The Big Freeze as the experts call it but it is just how I like it with plenty of snow:DNo doubt you will hear all about it when you back home if you haven't heard already through the grape/snow line:)

See you when you get back,oh and could you bring us some salt, bread, potatoes, milk etc back with you as all the shelves are depleted in the shops due to panic buying, and the salt they are using to sprinkle on their paths and drives so we have none for cooking.Even our One Stop Shop is out of salt:(

Anyway, hope you have a great few days left of your holiday.Goodnight:snz::luv:

Peri,A woodcock would be lovely to see but I doubt if we will et any.Sorry that the Bullfinch is blurred but it was taken on full zoom through glass and I was shaking a little.I have a bit better photo of one on the fence so might put that up later.

Enjoy your walk:).We still have snow on our paths so I might wait until Mr Kandy gets home tonight and will go for our evening walk together so we can hold each other up:D

Good to hear you're somewhere warm Shiney! My brother lives down in Sydney - last time I was there was in '82......I'm sure many changes! Sure you'll get to the Rocks though - was always interesting, and a stroll through Kings Cross of an evening will be entertaining! Just don't hang out by the fountain :) You'll get offers you've never imagined lol
Enjoy the warmth - a friend in Melbourne was saying the forecast was for 43 the other day.......yikes! We'll save some snow here for you :)

Careful on the roads out there tonight everybody - hubby just came home after seeing a car spin out on a major motorway (M20) blowing both back tires, but luckily driver okay and didn't hit anybody else. We're forecast snow here for 48 hours starting at 0400......(according to AOL weather....) so it's not over yet folks. Stay safe

    Good morning everyone,

Well I don't know about anyone else but we still have snow in our village and it has started to get a bit tricky underfoot so me and Mr Kandy have to be careful when we go out for our evening walks.Even though we wrap up warm, last night we got cold faces as there was a North wind blowing:p The powers to be have said we might get more snow today so we shall see what happens and no doubt they will be saying we shall be getting a barbeque summer as well:D

Anyway, hope you all have a great day in all that you do.:)

Lovely pics Rosa, I have heard that Durham is a lovely place to visit.

I am exhausted, just got back from babysitting a little man and a boisterous puppy [Roxy] so son and his girlfriend could go out for a meal. What do they say? Never work with children or animals? :hehe:
