good morning jazmine, woo and everyone, thanks took them pics of durham cathedral on the bridge going to the passport office the weather was very dull,
jazmine i spend my grown up years in durham all my dads side of the family live there most of them are deceased now so just got cousins living there but i dont see them now, its a lovey place and i would just love to live there again its about 50 mins drive from were i live.
sounds like you had fun last night babysitting.

Like the photos of Duram Rosa,it looks like a nice place.It is nice to see photos of other places round the country and thanks for sharing them with us:thmb:

Anyway,we had fine snow falling all day yesterday so we have had two weeks now of the ground covered with snow.My daffs are starting to show above the pots and my crocus's won't be long before they flower.

I was watching the birds in the garden yesterday and although the feeders had plenty of food in them{though not full} they decided they were not going to come down to feed until I had rolled up me trouser legs sorted out my garden shoes,and then went and topped up the feeders and sprinkled more seed on the snow.Two minutes after getting indoors and warming myslef up they all swooped down and started feeding on both the feeders and the ground.And I thought they were starving:D

The snow stopped about four yesterday and then we had fog decend on the village and the roads became lethal so Mr Kandy had better be careful going to work this morning.At least there was no wind last night so we had an enjoyable evening walk

We have woken to fog here Kandy. We still have the dregs of the snow too.
Rosa my friends son went to Durham University and she spent a few years travelling back and forth from Norwich but she told me it was a lovely place (on the top of a hill?)

Today my dear son offered to take me out but knowing him that may not materialise :dh:

pleased you liked my durham pics weather was a bit dull when i took them and wished i had been on other side of the bridge closer to the cathedral would of got better pics, the traffic was dreadful and i couldnt get across the main road never mind will go back when the weather is better, im about 50 minutes drive from durham,i tried to contact my grans sister but her phone was off and i did hear she deceased a few years ago so cant contact her children dont know were they live i did know her eldest son was a policeman in durham but dont know iff he still is i thought about calling the durham police but is it wise to do that. would love to see them all as ive not seen them for years.

Good morning Peri,Rosa and everyone,

Peri, I haven't been going out walking during the day what with the state of the paths and the roads so I go out with Mr Kandy for a nice walk each evening{apart from when my Bronchitis and cold were on the go} after we have eaten our evening meal and that gives us time to talk about Mr Kandy's work day and what I have been up to during the day.It is nice when the wind isn't strong but sometimes we get home and our faces are really chilled.We always wear thicker coats,hats and gloves and sometimes scarves but at least we are getting out.When we had a dog we HAD to walk her every day so we still like to keep it up and it is a way of getting exercise:D

In reading your depression thread they were talking on Radio Two and Five Live last week and the experts on there were saying that exercise is one of the best ways of overcoming depression so if you can manage a walk each day that would help:thmb:

Rosa,if you knew the addresses of your relatives you might be able to track them down on the Electoral Register,or 192.com but I think you have to buy credits before the phone number is revealed.

We had a lot of rain yesterday and more is forecast for today and tomorrow so it looks like our snow will all be gone soon:(I am out baby sitting tomorrow night for the people who we rescued Mable and Punky from.They now have a nine week old ruby Cavilier so as well as children to look after I shall be puppy sitting Oscar:D as well.I am going to take my camera to see if he will keep still long enough for me to get some photos,but don't hold your breath:p

Its going to be nice here, we are getting temperatures today and all through the weekend that we never get this time of the year.

Thanks folks, I got on better than I had hoped, without going into detail :wink: my meds have been sorted to alleviate symptoms, the main problems are still there, always will be but I can get on with life again and see her when it next becomes necessary.Back to the GP to get the latest stuff sorted now. :(

Had a lovely day out, just got home and my friend eventually bought a wedding outfit and I got a coat but what fun we had trying clothes on, comparing tummy size etc! She stood there in her elegant wedding outfit with one sock on much to the assistants amusement :lollol:
