    Morning Rosa and eveyone,

Peri,I will follow the advice given to me by the medical people and if the problem doesn't improve through diet/exercise then I will be prescribed Metformin which should help the Glucose/Insulin problem.I knew I would develope the condition at some point as I have family with the condition plus having PCOS doesn't help either. At least I am relatively healthy and not like those poor children in Mumbai who have to live in their own pooh all their lives and I know there are people worse off than me with medical illness's so I can't complain.I shall learn to live with it and will adjust my lifestyle accordingly.I had a long chat with my sister yesterday afternoon on the phone and she has given me some advice on what to eat and what not to eat and I am trying to glean information off of the net about this problem. At least I have caught it early,my sister and other people I know have been walking round for ages with the same condition and for my sister it was only a visit to her Dr showed up the problem:(She now has the early stages of Cataracts so will need them looking at in the future and I would strongly reccomend everyone to get themselves checked for Diabetes even if it doesn't run in the family:p

Hope you manage to get your own problems sorted out soon and can be pain free once more:)

That was the end of the news, now for the weather forecast. It is raining here in the middle of the country and my bird seed is getting wet again so that is another lot that will have to be chucked away:(

Hope you all have a very good day and remember,if in doubt get it checked out.You know it makes sense:D

The Ramblings of a very optimistic wiseoldOwl:wink:

Good morning Rosa and Kandy and all my other friends here at Gardeners Corner,Outside its raining and almost dark,But every cloud as a silver Lining and we all know that the Sun is still up there, this is only a one wet day out of 365 or there about :)Looking round this planet of ours all in all I think we are pretty well off and can all count our blessings :) Spring is on its way and its staying Lighter every evening there,s not much that can stop that, then our Summer, need I say more,so much to look forward to,every day is a Bonus even the dreariest of days, after all its only weather,In my garden the birds are still singing, the Pond with the melodious and relaxing sound of the water returning to its original source looks really lovely, all the plants are slowly wakening up,reaching towards the dull light of the sky,my Hawthorn hedge is in bud,the Foxes are making their usual calls ,music to my ears, yes its that time of the Year again(breeding Time)they look really fit and healthy this year, must have been the hard winter they have had or all the pork luncheon meat I have been giving them:hehe:
Everyone have a lovely day and please all look after yourselves:)

    Good morning everyone,

It's Saturday once again so looking forward to spending time together with Mr Kandy after his week at work:)

Well the rain has finally stopped but now that the ground is even more saturated can't see us getting onto the allotment this weekend:(

I have snowdrops,Daffs and Aconites showing above the ground so looking forward to seeing them open in a few weeks time:)

Weighed myself this morning and at long last I have dropped a lb in weight so I am a happy bunny:D.I'm wondering if I haven't been eating enough this week, although I had a very dodgy tummy yesterday which might have had something to do with it:oops:will have to cut back on the salads me thinks:p

Anyway, for those of you having a lie in hope it is a good one and that you all have a great day with families and friends:)

Morning Rosa, I dont normally go to bed before 12 as i know I'll be awake 6 hours later no matter what time I go to bed.

Its great in the summer but at this time of year there is not a lot you can do with the extra hours in the morning as its too dark.:dh:

Im decorating at the mo so every hour counts. Have a good one Rosa.:gnthb: 02

mmmm cabbage rolls :) now that could make a nice project for tomorrow - but I always feel the need to make perogies as well, and that's a day long job as I always make loads for the freezer as well. We have real problem finding large enough cabbages here - they tend to be quite small.....but we just make smaller cabbage rolls!
Have had a normal Saturday - rugby and feeding the players after the game - gotta love it when 180 hungry rugby players descend on you.....then shopping for kid clothes, school shoes etc., nothing exciting whatsoever!
Now trying to decide what is for dinner.......and frustrated I don't have time to make cabbage rolls at this point......grrrr maybe a 'cabbage roll casserole' - I think Redstar has posted a recipe on another thread!

Good Morning all my friends ,I hope you are all OK and have slept well:) Its 5am and Gypsy,Tiny and penny are ready for a their walk,it will only be a relatively short walk today,as I have to build myself up to our normal one, that is when I have eaten my 3 Shredded wheat:) Its quite warm 38 degrees Fahrenheit no wind at all and dry, looking forward to seeing the foxes again, and listening to the silence ,if you know what I mean:wink: Everyone have a really enjoyable and a safe Sunday:)

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

I agree with you there Woo,nothing like a nice walk especially as you say when there is no wind and no noise. That is one reason why we like our evening walks at this time of the year because we can walk round parts of our village, stop and listen to the sound of silence..bliss:D Hope your day is good to:)

Peri,It was the diabetic nurse that told me to read up the info on Diabetes UK site, but it can be quiet confusing at time because some bits say eat bread and pasta and then other bits say no to both.Me and Mr Kandy both dislike Pasta so that one is out but when we wnet to Tesco's yesterday teatime i did buy myself some rice which I shall attempt to eat.I also got some Quorn sausages so will see what they taste like:pIt took us over an hour to get round as we kept having to read the labels of everything, and we only went there to buy a trampett which I will be able to use each day especially if the weather is rough outside and it will save on my joints:p

The eye test has to be done at the Hospital for the Retinopathy so have to wait for the letter to come for that test.:)

Glad to hear that your oh managed to get some good shoes, although I myself have never spent that sort of money on a pair of shoes:D

Anyway, yesterday me and Mr Kandy went for a two hour walk round our local water again and manged to see one Cattle Egret and two Little Egrets although they were a bit far away and the larger Egret was flying. Then my batteries started running down on my camera:oops: so have had to charge them up again.Lovely to get out in the fresh air again but it was colder this week without the sun:(

Hope you all have a very good sunday:).We have chicken today so look forward to cooking and eating it:)
