Good morning penny, shiney (and woo who posted whilst I was typing :thumb:) and everyone :hehe:

After a sunny and mildish day yesterday with a fairly strong chilly wind, today has started like a summer's morning. :gnthb:

Despite all my aches from the work I did yesterday I shall be out there soon making the most of it. I'm still 'lasering' :hehe: the lawn edges and have finished all the front and a third of the back garden.

I've cleared two barrow loads of fallen twigs and branches and shall leave the rest for Tracey to do when she comes again in three weeks time - the bending is getting to me :old:.

I've also cleared all the weeds around the blackberries (before the blackberries grow too big and vicious) and shall eventually cut nice new lawn edges around them.

Stay well and have a great day :D

    Good afternoon everybody!

Gorgeous day here - have just been out to Essex for the morning - was a lovely sunny drive, albeit mostly on the M25 :( Now back home to do the admin work :(

Slept off most of the weekend trying to shake this bug - but have two eldest boys home today with the horrible winter vomiting bug that's been going around - so certainly hope I don't replace my flu/cold symptoms with what they've got!

Something appears wrong with my boiler - definitely not out of oil, but no hot water nor heat is coming out - the boiler is only a year old, so hopefully no probs with it - but there is a pressure gauge which doesn't look like the needles are in the normal position - so shall have to investigate - oh I love instruction manuals!

Have a great day everybody ;)

Hi everyone, hope you are all well. Not been around for a while as my friend who has terminal cancer, her husband and brother died two weeks ago so not been in the right frame of mind for socialising. Life plays some evil trick on us. It makes you wonder some times. :( 02

    Evening friends :luv:
It has been lovely here too Woo :)
Shiney, I haven't started outside yet, OH has cleaned the block paving so it is looking better out there now.
Takemore, sorry to hear that, yes I know it makes you question things doesn't it? I visited a lady in hospital I used to help care for - she now has cancer all over her body and she was smiling and laughing away with me. Very humbling.
Natalie, you are going through it at the minute. I hope things improve quickly for you.
Penny hope you enjoyed the good weather.
A good day today, I went swimming, had my hair done and had lunch out :)

The computer seems to have just started playing silly B's so I think I shall reboot it. It is occasionally going slow and sometimes making little beeps

Well, I'm back and things now seem OK. Apparently it was something called 'WMS Idle'. Haven't the faintest what that is!

02, sorry to hear that sad news. Mrs shiney and I send you our best wishes and hugs :luv:

Natalie, let us know when you are coming to Essex again and you can pop in for a cuppa :thumb:. You couldn't have been too far from us. :)

I got quite a bit more done in the garden yesterday and also transplanted all the bee orchids I could find from the front lawn. Last year it was taking me twice as long to mow the lawn because of having to mow around them and it was nearly four times as much effort as I had to keep manoeuvring the heavy mower :(. All sorted now :thumb: - until more pop up. :hehe:

I hope to get a littledone out there today before going to the bridge club after lunch. It depends on how long it takes to get through my emails and snail mail.

Once again, have a great day :D

O2 my daffs are still in bud.

Well OH just announced he is going to carry on with outside jobs and will tackle the cleaning of the driveway today. I had better not disturb him methinks as I have loads of jobs waiting for him. :hehe:
Enjoy the sunshine everyone. I bet Rosa is loving sorting out her yard!!

    The opening times for our garden on May 29th are 10 a.m. - noon and 2 p.m. - 4 p.m.

I'm looking to see whether I can fit in a private tour for Forum members at noon where we can combine it with a good chat :gnthb:. I'll publicise it closer to the date and hope that we can get a few members together. :)
