    Good morning Rosa and everyone,

Rosa, I would take the arch back to where you got it from and get them to change it for one thta has got screws.Don't waste a fiver on another one.:scratch:Mr Kandy bought some new taps the other week and because they were the wrong fitting to get the tails in I told him to take them back and change them and Wickes just said to choose a new set.:D

I'm looking forward to my shopping trip as i tried on the trousers yesterday that I bought some time back and the waist is definetly looser and it is only my hips that are stopping them from falling down:D so hopefully i will have gone down a dress size after losing all that weight:)

It was very misty when we got up but now all of a sudden it has gone and it looks like it might be a good day after all now the rain has stopped:D

Hope everyone has a good day:thmb:

    Good morning everone,

It is a beautiful day here in Shineyland with a gentle mist glowing in the the sunshine. :gnthb:

Kandy, you can come and stay free - but you will have to help with the gardening :hehe:. The owls were lovely and friendly so they were happy to have close up photos taken. Funnily enough the camera didn't seem able to focus properly when I held it a few inches from them so I had to go back to about 15" and zoom in.

They were quite happy to be stroked by everyone.

I don't know what type each one is .

I thought that this looked a bit like a cat from close up :hehe:

And this one was getting a bit vicious so they put him in a box.

This cat was definitely not friendly :(

    Have a great day :D

    Hi Shiney,

Your second bird is a European Eagle Owl but not too sure about the yellowed eyed one:scratch: and the tiny one in the box is a Little Owl:gnthb:When i was taking the photos last year of the3 Black Kite at our fun day it put up it's head feathers and the handler told us it doesn't like having it's photo taken:oops::p

Next time you try to get in close for a shot,if the camera refuses to focus, try to use the macro facility as i often have that problem if the light conditions are not right{too bright}Another thing I would have done with the eye was to have taken it in Black and White as well as colour to see what that affect would be like:thmb:

The blue cat looks a cross between our Willow and Uggy {Davina} and looks like he/she was determined to draw blood:(

I would be happy to help with the gardening Shiney as long as I could have something to eat every few hours to keep me going:D:thmb:

    Enjoy your day:)

    â??Spring has sprung,
    The Grass has riz,
I wonder where the birdies is?
The little bird is on the wing,
    But thatâ??s absurd!
Because the wing is on the bird!â?

Everything is growing now and we are now into that "rush" before summer, the rush being keeping up with Mother nature as she does what comes natural...growing things.

    Must service the mower...

    Have a great day everyone!

    Steve...:)

Jazmine - me time? lol - you are tooooo funny woman! my 'me' time is what I call the time while I'm in the car on my own on my way to pick up a kidlet, or on the way home from dropping off a kidlet......can crank the tunes......and it's 'me time'.

Was sent a lovely b'day card from my dad today - was really a cheeky one - but with some enclosed Aussie dollars - and I think I'm going to use it at Brandshatch Spa - it sounds good to me!

The owl pics are great Shiney - and great idea Kandy about the one of the eye being in black and white.....I think that woudl be effective!

Drizzly day here today - but nothing in comparison to what family in Perth had for a storm yesterday - seriously - loads of dented cars from the hail - I have a picture of hail and a baseball - not a whole lot of difference. Apparently they've called it a major disaster, flooding in many parts, but mostly damage due to broken windows, smashed up cars etc. due to the size of the hail. So I shall accept the drizzle......

Hope everybody has a great day :) Back to work I must go.....

    Good morning everyone,

Have woken up to rain this morning so no allotmenteering today:pNever mind have some geranium/pelargonium plugs to pot on so they will keep me busy.My Celeriac has started to grow and I amazed at how tiny the seedlings are:pand my leek seedlings are also growing well:thmb: My parsnip seeds that I have had floating in water are germinating so will have to put them out on the lottie soon when the soil is a bit warmer:)

Natilie,i have woken up this morning with a sore throat and feel blocked up so hope I'm not coming down with your cold:D

Jazmine, another lb lost this week so am well pleased and apart from the extra cost of buying food like strawberries and blueberries it hasn't cost me anything money wise:DWhile out shopping yesterday i popped into Waterstones and picked up a copy of the Collins gem Carb Counter £3.99 which I am going to use as apart of my weight loss along with the low fat and GI diet:) I never realised though how small the book and writing in so will have to use a maginfying glass to read the words:p

Well,I had my hair cut yesterday, managed to buy some shoes eventually, that actually fitted plus found a nice lighweight cardi to go with my black top so am well pleased with that:)Mind you there was about twentyfive of us queing up in M&S and there was only one young girl on the till and all the old ladies in front and behind me were all having a moan about it:p

Anyway, hope you all have a great day:)

    good morning kandy and everyone,
its raining here so i wont be able to sit outside grrrr till weather gets nice, kandy the reason why i bought a new arch yesterday because i brought the other one from my old place the box was open at top so im pretty sure the screws were on the balcony, hubby threw everything away off the balcony. i only paid £5 for the arch a lot cheaper than buying the screws as i saw them for 4 for a £1 and i needed over 20.
pleased to hear things have started growing at your allotment great news and your doing well with your weight loss, enjoy your new shoes and cardi.
    great pics shiney
    have a lovely day all

    Good morning everyone,

Yesterday was another warm sunny day but it rained during the night. This morning is dull but dry and is already 9C, so it looks like a mild day. The tidying up in the garden is coming along well but the ahces and pains don't get any better :hehe:.

I hope everyone's sniffles and sore throats clear up quickly and you will all be set up for the spring and summer. :)

    Have a great day :D

    Morning Shiney and Rosa,

Rosa,I see now what you mean with the arch.I never realised that you had the box at your old place.I expect the screws got lost with you moving.Glad that you got a new one sorted:thmb:

Rosa, I started putting on the weight with medication when we were having fertility treatment and then put some more on when I started going through the change from being young woman to being a slightly older woman so now with the betes meds plus diet and even more exercise have managed to lose the weight.I still fancy milk chocolate from time to time but haven't started dreaming about it yet:DI should have been a smoker like Mr Kandy then I would have stayed slim like he used to be:D

Rosa, we got some Plug U Grow plants from Tesco's last week 24 plants for a fiver so will grow them on and put them out in June and should have them in flower all summer:)

Shiney, sorry to hear you are having wrinklies aches and pains.:(At least us younger wrinklies will know what to expect as we get :old:er:flag::hehe:

    Enjoy your day gardening:)

Its another cool day here, supposed to be dull and cloudy, but no rain today.

Off to Toronto shortly to pick up some parts for my husband, so that'll kill my morning.
