    Good morning everyone,

Once again this will just be a brief visit as I am very busy. Yesterday turned out warm and dry and it didn't rain until night time. This morning it seems as though we shall have the same. :thumb:

    Have a great day :D

Good afternoon everybody! Mornings are so hectic in here getting kids off to school etc. lately - don't get a chance to get on here till around lunchtime when I take a work break :)

Had a lovely morning this morning where the kids hauled me out to my greenhouse in the front of the house - there they have stashed my birthday goodies - a lovely 'big' dwarf apricot tree in a big pot - I'm thinking I should keep it in the greenhouse? but wil have to check, some lovely raspberry canes, and some fantastic quality gardening tools - which they INSISTED were half price on sale at the garden centre and then they got my other son's staff discount on top of it hmmmmm, and some odds and ends for the allotment - pea stake holders, gloves, hand tools etc. Wonderful gifts and thoughtful too :)

Gray drizzly here this morning - yeuck - keep going out to the pond to 'twirl' the blanketweed and try and get rid of some of it - I have treatment in the pond right now, but looking at other threads on here, looks like some water lilies might be in order to help block out the sunlight (when we do get it that is) - but meanwhile carrying on with the barleystraw etc., and hopefully the tadpoles will do their bit to help out once they hatch. They are no longer just round black spots in the spawn, but they have elongated a little - so maybe on the weekend or early next week I shall have hundreds swimming around :)

Looking forward to the Open Day Shiney - it's great to hear about your projects and what you're doing, but another entirely to see it in person. Anybody from around Kent that wants to go up together - let me know - driving doesn't bother me, and looking forward to meeting some others from here as well.

Kandy - sorry for the cold - you know how viruses travel across computers :( Hope you get rid of it soon, OH has a nasty nasty chest cold right now - worse than mine I think.

    Have a great day everybody!

    Evening friends

Got on well at the hospital, awaiting a small op which will be done when he has consulted my cardiologist as the injections contain adrenaline and he thinks I will not be able to have them. The ones without do not help bleeding and bruising so well.
Glad you enjoyed your birthday Natalie, I didn't dare announce it on here incase you were ignoring it

    Good morning everyone,

After quite a bit of rain yesterday we now are back to beautiful sunshine and clear blue skies. :thumb:

Woo, I hope you are well and enjoying the warmer days. :)

Penny, it seems as though your weather is beginning to get more towards spring. :thmb:

Natalie, happy birthday. I hope you are celebrting it suitably :yho:. I stopped counting mine when the cake melted from so many candles. :hehe:

Jazmine, ggo luck with the op. :)

rosa, you're certainly getting your new place looking good. :gnthb:

Kandy, the spring bulbs haven't got very far yet but the other plants are beginning to do well :). Be careful with your sciatica and don't overdo things :luv:

I didn't mind the rain yesterday as I spent most of the day doing emails or in meetings. Last night I had to play a league match in London and the traffic on the M25 was worse when we were coming back at midnight than when we went up there at 7 p.m. :(. It was worth it as we won the match :yho:.

In between meetings yesterday I popped in to Wickes and got 4 x 75 litres of compost for £12 and then went to the builders merchants for a few 20 kg bags of golden gravel at £2 each (half price because the bags were broken), and 20kg of salt tablets for the water softener. I managed fairly easily to get them onto the trolleys and then into the boot but I think I shall leave them there until next week for Tracey to carry them round to the back garden. :hehe:

I'll be out most of today at another charity event that is raising money for our local National Trust. Then it is off to the bridge club until nearly 11.30. So I shall probably pop into Tesco on the way home to do some late night shopping.

    Have a great day :D
