Had a good day as I went to my sons house, did some tidying etc and enjoyed the company of Roxy who is getting big now.
Tommorow is filling at the dentist day! I love injections I do :hehe:

 

Good morning everybody! First morning in a couple of weeks where I've woken up and not been all stuffed up and croaky Feeling almost human again!

Maddie have just been outside - and the birds are loud loud loud - just gorgeous. We live in a heavily wooded area so it's just a big chorus out there ths morning

Off up to head office today - have to meet a client but her school is off this week and she lives by head office - so unfortunately a battle on the M25 for me awaits - yeuck! But always nice to see everybody whe I go up there - a girls lunch is in order

Hope everybody is doing well! I have some catching up to do here though so will read up a bit and see what everybody has been up to Have a great day everybody!

Overslept this morning so in a bit of a rush,just had a nice shower so going off to have my brekkie and then get ready for our trip down to Somerset today for the funeral.

Mr Kandy was checking the road situation on the net last night so just hope we don't ghet caught up in any accident holdups like we did seven years ago when Mr Kandies Auntie passed away and we only just made it to the church despite allowing a forty five minute window on top of the four hour travelling time:(

Hi Kandy, hope the weather stays dry and the roads aren't going to cause you problems today.

I finally got to sleep at 4am last night. No bird song to sleep to but lots of snow to watch falling past the window. Very wet and boggy outside today and lots of snow. Very sad to see the bank of crocuses across the road (we live directly opposite a green) have been killed off because of the weather and the daffies in the garden aren't looking too good either :(

Nothing major on for me, the usual cooking and cleaning but otherwise, a day on the sofa with my dog and a good book, yay

Hope everyone is all good and taking it easy on the nasty roads today x

Hope you all had a good day yesterday.Ours was ok but with all the travelling especially with heavy rain found it very tiring and was amazed at how much traffic was on the roads,so many lorries chucking spray all over the place:(

It was nice meeting up with Mr Kandy's relatives but it will be a shame when his Godfathers house is sold eventually as there will never no more be any reason to go to that village now that they are both gone.:(The helicopters flying overhead all day won't be missed though:p

Anyway,Mr Kandy is still asleep:snz: as we didn't get back until late last night:ywn: so hope that everyone has a good day

What a horrid day to have had all that driving to do yesterday Kandy - Hope you get today to relax and recover from the journey.

Another gray rainy day down here in Kent - but....beats the snow that they are having up north! So I guess we shouldn't complain - it could always be worse.

Well, time to take the kidlets to school, one more day and then we're all off for two weeks!

Morning all,

Well we are glad we did the shopping yesterday for two reasons. Firstly, its heavy snow right here in Cockermouth and secondly, Prince Charles is visiting Cockermouth again today to see what has been done since the floods (and they stopped all traffic last time...and I was caught in that).

Our local bridge is now open once again, but only one way so that our village does not become congested, two bridges in town have also reopened this last week and flood repair work continues on for many. The main street in town (where the river flowed along in the floods) is now reopen to traffic and many shops have reopened, there are still many that are boarded up though.

Cumbria is most definately open though and although there are still a few bridges out of action, its only smallish diversions to get around them.

The weather here is nasty too, no snow but cold again and rain, rain and more rain so no gardening yet!

Think I will have a day in trying to pack some stuff [towels, bedding etc] ready for when Dr.Mat leaves home :hehe: He hasn't signed contracts yet but should be soon and he is still waiting to go in for another operation. :(

Thought i would leave you all with a couple of photos of the conditions we had the other day driving down to Somerset and then on the way back.A journey I don't fancy doing again but at least we didn't have it as bad as Mr Kandy's cousins who were driving back up to Scotland:(
