    Good morning everyone,

It is very misty this morning with a soft glow beginning to show through it. :thumb:

The garden enjoyed the rain we have had and is buRgeoning with colour. :gnthb:

I've just been online filing official forms and it has been a blxxdy nuisance :(. The EEC have changed the information that is required (it's nothing to do with them ) and I have had to read all the information (pages of it) so that I can fill in the compulsory requirement fields . For all of them my answer was 'NO'. Then I had to pay for the privilege.

    End of rant :)

    Have a great day :D

Morning everyone. Nothing like a bit of form filling to make your day, Shiney. I had to apply for a new passport a couple of years back. I read all the instructions over and over and then took the form to the post office, where a formidable looking lady glanced at it, pulled a face which could have soured milk and then handed me a new form. It was like failing an examination. I had to find a new post office to deal with my second attempt. The thought of being humiliated by the same old boot, should I have failed again, was just too great.

    Good morning everyone,

Penny, it looks as though you are now into pretty warm weather. Does it normally stay around the 80's for the rest of the summer?

We have the sun and the upper 70's forecast for today and tomorrow and then rain and the low 60's for all of next week.

The weeds are now growing at top speed and I can't keep up with them. I'll get a lot of mowing done today before all the rain comes.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Shiney and everyone,

Haven't got much time to spend on here at the moment what with all the work we are doing in the garden making new borders for all these plants we keep buying and it is all taking up a lot of our spare time:D We have just had delivery of our second ton bag of topsoil to join the half ton bag of soil conditioner we had delivered last week. The second ton bag was put at the top of the drive instead of where Mr Kandy asked the driver to leave it so only I could get my car on the drive:mad: so all the soil from that bag had to be taken out and put into the empty bag further down the drive before we were able to fill the drive with our cars:D

Last night we started putting a lot of the plants into the new border, but I had a phone call so had to leave it for a couple of hours while I chatted on the phone:hehe:Been out this morning to make a start while the weather is good and Mr Kandy will do his bit tonight when he gets home and has had his evening meal:)

My fingers feel stiff this morning and the joints on my index finger of one of my hands have decided to swell up so looks like I know have arthritis in it but I shall still carry one regardles.Hopefully my Devils Claw will soon sort it out:D

Shiney, hope we don't get more rain next week as I think we have had enough of it now as my water butt is now full again:DWe haven't been over to the allotment this week so I dread to think what it all looks like over there :(

    Have good day:)

PS,for got to say we also treckked over to my father in laws house on Monday of this week and spent five hours digging and rotavating part of his garden and then Mr Kandy put up all his runner bean canes so that my father in law can get his runner bean and sweetcorn plants put into the ground now that all the frosts have now gone. The rest of the garden is like a jungle but there is nothing we can do about it as my father in law refuses to pay someone to come in and help him out and other members of the family who live closer refuse to help him get the garden under control so it will just have to go to rack and ruin:p

    Hi Kandy, Shiney and everyone

I'm impressed by your dedication to your garden, Kandy. I'm always amazed by how much work even a little postage stamp like mine generates. Off to do battle with an overgrown viburnum later. This involves getting the stepladder out, which is a Big Deal for me.

I'm pathetically pleased with my ten pound mini greenhouse from Wilkinson's. Admittedly, OH managed to crack one of the plastic struts whilst giving my construction handiwork an extra whack 'just to make sure everything is in properly' - why do men feel the need to do things like this? - but a bit of superglue seems to have dealt with things. The plastic cover will probably last a season at most but apparently Wilko sells replacements. I've already filled my greenhouse and I think I may even find room for another one.

    Have a good day, everyone.

    Good afternoon everyone.

Late on here today as we were out over at the allotment quiet early this morning and although we had a good morning with Mr Kandy doing some rotavating and me doing hand weeding we had to give up after three hours as it got too hot for both of us despite wearing sun hats.:p

Pleased though that our runner beans are up properly now and the peas are scrambling up the netting Mr Kandy put up the other week and my winter broad beans have pods on them although they are not ready for picking just yet:DHoping to go back over there after tea to get some watering done and to cover the carrots with the enviromesh that we have been out and bought this afternoon so hopefully the dreaded carrot fly will be kept at bay this year and the beauty of this stuff is that you can water through it,it is that strong.I will let you all know how we get on with it later on if you like:D

Hope you all have a good rest of the day and may the best person win Britains Got Talent and especially the nice lady Tina with the dancing dog called Chandi:D

    Good afternoon everybody!

Well that's my half term week over and done with - back to work on Monday! But hey - only a few weeks and then off for the summer, so I cannot complain can I?

We cleaned and filled the pool this week - two days of hoses from us and two neighbours - and it was freezing cold. Didn't stop my 7 yr old from getting in though the first day, and since then they've all had teh sense to put on wetsuits first :) I on the other hand have not ventured in - and OH was making noises that made the neighbour think he had hurt himself - in fact, it probably felt like he had! lol

Been out transplanting lots of my young vege plants - offloading to neighbours etc.

Off to pick up son from the garden centre he's working at, and pick up some local strawberries while there for the pavlova I made today :) Yum...my favourite summer dessert!

    Hello all :luv:
Kandy I really wish I could have a vege plot. My garden here just hasn't really got the room. I would have to get my dad to work it though :)
Natalie, you should have run and divebombed lol. Mind you I would have made a much better splash, you have no weight on you :p

Well today I have been out in town, then to MILs and now home to a take away.
    Have a great evening everyone.
