What a lot of work you have put into your allotment!! It looks a large area too. As someone commented on that thread you have to take the disappointments but how lovely to be able to pick your own produce.
My friend took me along to her allotment and I loved how everyone was so friendly and all helped each other.

    Hello Woo and Penny :luv:
Everyone else must be asleep :hehe:

No storms here but it is grey and cooler today. Just popped in as OH is working so I have some peace today and need to get on with stuff. I am going to have a go at painting on canvas later.
Just to say I will be out of action for a while [from Tues night] as I have to have an op on both eyes and apparently my eyes will swell shut and I will have two black eyes. I will not be able to put my head down either - I will bounce back as usual and get on with stuff as soon as I am able. No use moping :hehe:
I will let OH take a photo so you can have a laugh!

Yes Woo - had quite a bit of thunder/lightning! Still had the tent set up outside - but kids wisely decided earlier that they would sleep indoors tonight - when the rain started, I thought i was silly for not bringing it in....but it's a three room jobbie - not exactly a quick pull me down! They thoroughly enjoyed sleeping out in it the two previous nights though.

Was nice to have the help of mother nature in watering the gaden today - but muggy muggy muggy! One of my sons said it was no less than 38 degrees in the kitchen he was working in today - not comfortable working conditions in this humidity.

Kath - take it easy on yourself and give yourself the time to recover.....know you will bounce back......you're just like a tailless Tigger and you always bounce back :)

I know your boys and DIL will spoil you and look after you well :)

Back to work tomorrow.......groan....but only for six weeks and then off for the summer - so can't complain too much!

    Good morning everyone,

Trying to keep busy with the garden and the allotment but the weather at the moment is putting the mockers on getting things done, but I expect it is something to be expected with the great british weather:D

Jazmine,Good luck with you eye op and rather you and me,as I have a thing about eyes and get a bit squemish just talking about them:p

Well it is wet here this morning so looks like I won't have to be outside getting deafened by the builders so will stay indoors instead:D

    Have a good day everyone:)

    Morning all :luv:

Penny I keep noticing really tall weeds amongst the flowers, don't know how they grew that tall!!
Thanks Natalie, truth is I am scared but will end up taking something to relax me before I go. Be a lot better if I could have it done under anaesthetic :(

Thanks Kandy - hope you manage to get in the garden, it is drizzly here and I still have more pots to do. I haven't done as many baskets and pots as in previous years but there still seems a lot! I don't know how you manage an allotment too. :gnthb:
Have a great day all, I am off out again-to take my mind off tomorrow.

    Good Morning everyone.
heavy rain when I left home at 6 this morning and I think it looks like bieng a dull day.
I console myself by saying that the garden needs it and also that it will mean that the weekend might be nice and dry.
Jazmine, all the best with the eye jobbie. :-)

    Hello everyone

Not exactly 'flaming June' here today.

Jazmine/Kath all the best with the eye surgery. My Mum has been going to Moorfields for some work on her peepers. Apparently one of the doctors she sees is very handsome, which makes things a little easier to cope with. :D

    Good morning everyone,

Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell Loopy. It must be a summer cold that you have picked up that must be going round:p

We have had loads more rain over the last few days and we now have a small pond at the bottom of the garden in the hole where we have been digging out the clay for the new borders, and the new garden of the houses being built next door is like a lake:hehe:

Anyway,it is dry this morning but everywhere is saturated so no gardening for me again today so will be stuck indoors all day:(

    Have a good day everyone:)
