    Good morning everyone,

woo, I hope you enjoyed your early morning walk today. The weather must be perfect for it. :thumb:

Kandy, I see you are still doing your 'skipping' :hehe:. It must be hard work. I hope your allotment is starting to show good growth now we have the warm weather.

Jazmine, Mrs shiney says she is pleased that the magic pills :hehe: worked well :gnthb:

We went to the open gardens yesterday but didn't get round many of them. There were about 25 open and we only managed five. We left home just after midday and it took nearly 30 minutes to do the 7 miles, to the nearest town, to get there. That was not unexpected as there was loads of traffic.

At the first garden, which belongs to a friend of ours, we bumped into a couple of people that used to work for me and we spent a very pleasant hour having tea and cakes and catching up on things. One of them came to work for me straight from school and he is now a grandfather at the ripe old age of 43 :thumb:.

I got a similar surprise at the next two gardens which turned out to be owned by people who used to be my customers. It's a small world :). The second of those was a beautiful small garden full of colour and scent. It had no grass and was solid with plants, rockery and paths. It is a council house and the man there used to work for the Council's Parks and Gardens dept. He must have been very good at his job.

By the time we left there the football had started and it was like driving through a ghost town.

The other two gardens we went to were just out of the town and were very well kept large gardens. The last one we went to also did tea and cakes so we sat in the shade chatting to other visitors, having tea and listening to some wonderful Blues being sung by the sister of the the owner. A lovely end to a pleasant, but too hot, day out. :gnthb:

This morning I shall be out in the garden mowing as early as possible. I think I shall give it to about 8.30. After that it shall be some shopping and then indoors in the cool :)

    Have a great day :D

Good morning Woo Shiney and everyone,

Silly:old:me thought I had already logged on here today but now reading back it was yesterday that i posted :dh::D

Woo,I had a Wood Pigeon and a Collared Dove early this morning trying to out do each other with their cooing, but not sure which one got the better of the other though:DWe are already up to 81.9f and we are only half way through the morning as it is:pWho needs to go abroad for holidays with temperatures like these:hehe:

Shiney glad that you enjoyed your gardens visit. We did ours last year and it nearly killed us and took us five hours I think it was to get round them all in blistering heat so we gave it a miss this year:pNice though that you were able to catch up with old friends though:thmb:

    This is one of the skips we have been lent,{a baby one}
This is it when we have nearly filled it..
    These are the two houses that now overlook our garden{the scaffolding is down now}
And these are our peas, growing nicely on the allotment.Mr Kandy's are on the left and mine are on the right.:D
    [IMG]

Jazmine,Mr Kandy's niece has just been diagnosed with a Hiatus Hernia so now has to follow a diet that doesn't contain chocolate, high carbs,Alcohol, fizzy drinks etc.She is already very thin so I dread to think how much thinner she will end up like:(

Well that is me finished on here for today, have the last little bit of ironing to do and then this afternnon whenever it is on will watch the Andy Murry game, before deciding what else needs doing as Mr Kandy is on a days holiday today so will see what he fancies doing:p

    Enjoy your day everyone:)

    Nice to see you Woo.
Kandy those peas look healthy! Yours look best of course :hehe:
Penny it has been soooo hot here!
Shiney, wish we could have been there with you, sounds glorious!

We have had a beautiful day, took a picnic to Ranworth Broad nature reserve, had a lovely walk, took a boat trip back to save my legs. The broads are beautiful and full of wildlife.

    Good morning all :)

Typed up a response to here last night - and lost my internet connection - went to bed instead of starting again!

Haven't been on much lately - busy time at work for me right now coming to the end of the academic year, kids concerts, sports days etc. to fit in as well :) But - only 8 more working days till off for the summer - so looking forward to that.

Looks like everybody is keeping busy out in the garden - and enjoying the weather! Got a bit hot in here yesterday - so it was off to get a portable air conditioner which is fantastic :) Well worth it!

Enjoyed this last weekend just relaxing around the garden, in the pool, and watching life go by in the pond - was very nice to just sit back and do nothing - well, except for school fair on Saturday which I came home from absolutely exhausted due to the heat!

Jazmine - I hope Mat is doing better :)
Shiney - glad you had a good holiday - sounds like you both had a nice relaxing time :)
Woo - good to see you about as always - I always enjoy looking at your various pictures from your walks :)
Penny - didn't hear anything about the earthquake from anybody in BC or NS! Though, surprised we didn't hear from a friend at the Senate in Ottawa - he usually keeps in touch when there's something newsworthy - though it's normally political news so.....hmmmm Hope there wasn't alot of structural damage or casualties involved. I saw on the news that the Queen is in Nova Scotia right now for a Canadian tour?
Well everybody, have a fantastic day - and be thankful for the rain we had last night - it'll save us all some work today :)

Good morning Shiney and Jazmine - and all who might come along!

Yes Shiney - I definitely am :) I have two whole weeks off to myself before the kids and Brian are off - so I'm thoroughly looking forward to being a 'stay at home mum' for two weeks (though I think that's all I could handle of it!) and catching up on some things.

Glad you passed your MOT Jazmine :) I've spent the last two nights in A&E and then the children's ward with my ten year old - discharged this morning as all seems fine now - but not nice places to hang out are they? You are SOOOOOOOOOOO enjoying being a nana - what a lucky little boy he is :)

Hope everybody has a great day - I'm off up to head office for a couple of days - our end of year wind up meetings and boss's bbq/pig roast - it's always a great night :)

Wow - maybe when the Queen comes back to England she'll have been impressed with the Canada Day celebrations she might get something going here for the English to celebrate their day!

Bummed that we can't participate in the Canada Day celebrations in Trafalgar Square London this year - it's a great event, but I have to be at head office wind up :( It's a great party too - but I'll miss out on a Tim Horton's AND a Moosehead beer :(

Hope you and the family have a great day tomorrow!
