    Good morning everyone,

It is a little bit dull out at the moment but quite mild. If I can find time, and the rain holds off, I shall go out for a walk.

I got another £38 for the charity yesterday so things are going well :yho:. The only minor downside to all this is the time it takes picking, sorting and bagging everything. I would be able to sell more if I had the time. It took almost two hours yesterday - but I suppose £19 per hour isn't bad :thumb: :hehe:.

    Have a great day :D

    Good afternoon everyone0)

Woo,thanks for the welcome back and Mr K sends his best wishes.:thmb:He went to the Dr's and she said it was a soft tissue sprain and was impressed at how well it looked a week after he did it compared to what it looked like on the camera phone photo. He managed a little hobble round the village last night but had to keep telling me to slow down as I was walking too fast:oops::hehe:

I seem to be running behind today what with trying to get all the stuff done and the tumble drier for once is running at full capacity as it hasn't stopped raining hardly since we got back home:oops:

Jazmine,I don't broadcast too much when I go away as you never know who might be reading the posts. My friend a few years ago happened to say out loud to friends she met in the street that she was going away and evidently she was followed back home and as soon as her hubby had driven off of the drive the house was broken into and she had to come all the way back the next morning from down south to let the Police have details of all the stuff that went missing.:(

Shiney glad you are doing well with your fruit sales.:yez:We can't get over to the allotment because of all bad the weather, although I did manage to get all the Williams pears before we went away, and though there wasn't many of them, they were very large:D

Had some good news this morning.I went Monday morning for my six months HbA1c blood test, plus Cholesterol, and I rang this morning for the results and the blood glucose is down to 5.4 from 6.3:yho::yho::yho:although the Cholesterol is up slightly to 5.0 from 4.?{can't remember the last figure:p}I go Friday morning to see the nurse about the results so I wonder what she will call me this time{Star Patient last time:yez::D}I am such a happy bunny at the moment:yez::yez::yez:

Hope you all have a great afternoon and evening:)

Good morning everyone on this beautiful sunny day. :thumb:

Well done, Kandy, on your glucose level :gnthb:. I'm off to the nurse next week for my cholesterol test but I don't think that I have managed to reduce the level. :(

I'm off this morning for a hair cut and to visit some of the people I help. The council, after an appeal, have come to a good compromise over Barry. They wanted to move him from the three bedroom house he has lived in for the last 40 years (since he was born) into a one bedroom flat. They have now agreed to move him to a two bedroom house which will have to be close to where he lives as the neighbours help look after him. When they find a suitable house they will then have to adapt it for him and move and fit out his shed for his mobility scooter. It took nine months to sort this out!

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

woo, is it October already? Wow! Time flies. :)

They've forecast heavy rain for today so I had better get out in the garden and pick some more apples and pears whilst I have the chance.

    Have a great day :D

Good morning Woo Shiney and everyone,

I typed out a long post this morning before I went out and then lost the whole lot when I accidently touched something on the keyboard:( so now here is the shortened version:yez:

Woo have you tried taking cuttings of your fatsia Japonica?might be easier with a new plant than trying to dig up an exsisting large one:)Yes October already, and it will soon be Christmas again:hehe::yho:

Shiney, good on you for the work you have done for Barry since Vi passed away. The councils are only interested in filling the houses, not doing things about the ones who have to downsize.Sorry to hear about your Cholesterol problems.Mr Kandy finds Proactive and Benecole very good at keeping the figures down, and I am on them now.:yez:

Just got back indoors from my review and the results are HBa1C 5.7%:yho:{Not 5.4% that the receptonist said the other day.I asked twice to confirm it}Down to one tablet a day as I still need some help due to my other condition.BP 120/64{excellent}Liver and kidney functions normal so although I am now in non diabetic range any more and have good control I am still classed as Diabetic, but can live with that:yez:
Have to go back in six months time for another review and tomorrow I have to go for my first Flu Jab.I never asked for one but the receptionist collared me as I sat down,Don't know what others on here think about them as this is my first, although Mr Kandy refuses to have them as he hates needles:p

Shiney good luck with the pears,we still can't get over to the lottie because of the rain so hope they are still ok and thta the rabbits have left us some.:D

Hope everyone has a good day:luv:

    Hello everyone :luv:

Hope you managed to pick the apples and pears Shiney! Do you climb up the trees? :D

Kandy, well done on getting your diabetes under control. :) Regarding the flu jab I have had one for many years and have never had any problems with it. My arm goes a bit stiff and sore but I am keen to have them. I hope there is a swine flu jab available as last year I caught it and felt so ill. Much worse than flu even. :(

I have started "making things" for Christmas now and have loads to complete so had better get a shift on!!

    Good morning everyone,

It is quite misty out but not raining. :thumb:

Kandy, well done with getting out of the diabetic range :gnthb:. Did you know that you should be able to get free chiropody as an official diabetic? Everyone has to make their own choice about the flu jab - a lot ofo ur friends have it and very few have a reaction to it. We don't have it or any other jab. Although we travel all over the world we don't have vaccinations or take malaria tablets. Mrs shiney gives us homoeopathic remedies for all those. I already take Benecol etc for it. Benecol is on special offer in Sainsburys at the moment but they usually change their offers on a Wednesday.

Jazmine, yes, I managed to pick more apples and pears but I don't climb the trees. :thmb:

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Shiney and everyone,

Jazmine and Shiney thanks for your kind words:)

I've just got back indoors from having the jab:DThey do them in blocks of ten people so I was the youngest in there, most of them being of the :old:generation:yez:I had to fill out my name and adress on a form and then was called in dead on time and was out less than a minute later and had been told by the nurse that I might have a bruise later on and to wait for five minutes in the waiting room before leaving the surgery.I made everyone laugh by saying we should have been supplied with tea and biscuits while we waited, and one old dear said she would rather have a G&T:p

Shiney,if I went abroad and didn't have any jabs I would catch every disease on the planet knowing my luck and as the chances of me ever going abroad{well further than the IOW}are pretty remote:p

I already have a form for the NHS Chiropodist thanks Shiney as I asked the DN about having my feet seen to as i have a couple of corns that I can't get rid of even though I use one of those Scholl foot emery boards:pI also have a form so that I can go on a Desmond Course as my sister and type1 friend in the village keep saying I ought to go on one.I have to find my tape measure first though as they want my waist measurements plus my HDL {5.0}and LDL{3.0}figures.The nurse said that they usually put patients with DB on tablets for slightly high cholesterol but as I am so healthy{her words}she says to stay as I am and she will see what the levels are like in six months time.:D

We will have to look at the prices for the Benecol because if it is too dear we get Proactive for Mr K and then when that one goes up we switch to the other for him.I wasn't using it as I hadn't got a problem but have started using it now:)

Anyway, the sun is shining out there even though we had mist earlier on and Mr K has already picked all the outdoor toms and peppers and has kindly cut back my buddleas so that is a couple of good jobs done.Hoping to get to the lottie this afternoon to see what needs picking and digging up.

Hope you all have a great day:)
