Hi all. Hope you have all had a brilliant weekend and that it continues that way. Been slightly overcast here again but still warm. Keeps the grass & the weeds growing lovely, :) :(. Ha ha.
Am still enjoying the 'little' bit I've done this year in the garden, and can see some gifts that were sent to me by some of you, and that is so nice. Thank goodness they are living! Thanks mates.
So, next week - should get stuck in again in the garden & also the stripping of the banister! Sick of that banister! Too hot apart from anything else.
Take care all, & whatever you are doing next week try to enjoy it or the little parts you can.

    cheers

    Hello all :)

Shiney have you swallowed a dictionary? :hehe:

This thread is a great lifter of the old spirits!
Had a full day today. We went to Brundall on the river to look at the lodge [well cabin really] that my Aunt and Uncle will be staying in. It fronts onto the river in a lovely spot. Then it was on to youngest sons and haven't been home long. Phew!

Nope, but that's what happens when you read at least four books a week for fifty years! :flag: :). That's apart from the 6 magazines a month that I get. :hehe:

Good morning on this sunny day,

woo, it sounds as though your garden enjoyed the rain :).

We are still waiting for it here in Shineyland. My weather station says we shall be getting some but it hasn't looked up at the cloudless sky. :hehe:

The birds have not only been drinking from the water bowl (an old baking dish) we keep topped up but are now drinking from the plant saucers that our patio pots are in. It is quite funny to see them hop up to a saucer to check whether there is any water in it. :)

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Its hot, muggy, and dark here, so it looks like we are going to get some rain.

I was supposed to go to Toronto today, but its been pushed back until tomorrow.

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

Hope you are all well and are enjoying the summer:)

Still trying to catch up with everything after our break down in the English Riviera plus my dearest other half has been doing work on my computer so have to get on when I can:D

I hate to say this but we desperately need lots more rain as a lot of the flowers have dropped from my runner beans and it is only the end of each stem that has a couple of flowers on them.:(We have picked one long one so far and there are a couple more coming on but usually at this time of the year we are harvesting loads:pI also have black fly on them and even though I spotted two lady birds they were too busy sunning themselves to get any work done.:p

I don't know about anyone else but our buddleja{buddleias} on the allotment have hardly any butterfly activity on them this year and although we have bees nesting in our shed again there are not many of them about either.:(I even found a one winged very large bee in our garden yesterday covered with varroa mites so sadly had to dispatch it as it was in a bad way. This bee problem is really devastating to the bee population:mad:

Anyway on a brighter note I only put on 1lb while away which by the next day after getting back had vanished so am well pleased:D

Hope you all have a great day:)
