    Good morning everyone,

Just been watching the news about the new QE cruise ship about to go on her maidn voyage and it looks very nice but it is a shame that it wasn't built here. Also watched the report about those trapped miners and I don't envy them trying to fit into that tiny capsule.

Anyway,we had a nice chicken dinner yesterday with roast taters etc and then in the afternoon we trecked over to the allotment as the sun had come out and got loads more apples and the rest of the pears picked, the last of the runner beans and got the winter broad beans sown:yez:

Hope you all have a great day:)

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

Kandy, you can enter a free competition to win a five day cruise on the new QE. They are running it in conjunction with Daily Mail online.

Well, it looks as though it will be another nice day but not quite as warm as yesterday. I'll carry on with the gardening this afternoon as I shall be running the last of this season's workshops this morning. I overdid it yesterday with nearly five hours of heavy mowing and raking and my thumb joints have frozen up :(. I'll get them working againg soon :thumb:

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Shiney and everyone,

I do hope Woo and everyone else are all ok as there is no sign of them at the moment:)

Shiney thanks for that link and I will probably have a go at entering it although in a way the money would have gone down nicely to put towards the mortgage or fuel bills rather than me spending time in the sun:D

Sounds like you are as busy as me in the garden Shiney, but when the weather is good I feel I need to be outside as much as possible:)

I had a good day yesterday, went over to the allotment in the morning and picked the only two squashes that were big enough, although one of them is split due to dryness and then rain:(got loads of weeding done and spread a load of leaves onto the cleared ground ready for the winter.Came back home had a bite to eat then hung out some washing before mowing the lawns and washing my car.... phew:yez::D

Anyway,I feel quiet tired this morning and my hands are like blocks of ice but as the song goes,I shall survive:D

Hope everyone has a good day:)

Evening everyone, I haven't been around as I have hardly been on the computer. I have had some medical problems here, I won't bore you but I have have had several GP appts and he has phoned me at home a few times - I have had severe effects from a med change and it will take some time to sort.

I hope you are all ok and will catch up when I perk up.

    Good morning everyone,

Jazmine sorry to hear you have been unwell with the meds.It isn't pleasant when they don't agree and hope that you will be feeling better soon:gnthb:

Woo,good luck with the computer stuff.:thmb:I always let Mr K sort out the technical stuff as if left to me the computers would never work again:D

Shiney, like me you are always busy which is a good thing as at least it will stop the old joints ceasing up.....not:D

Just been watching the Chile miner rescue and as yet they have brought up three men .Fingers and toes crossed that all will be brought to the surface safely:yez:

Took our cats to the vets last night for their annual boosters so more expence but at least that is one job out of the way:D

Hope you all have a good day:)

    Good morning everyone,

woo, I hope your computer transplant goes well :gnthb:. I'm sure it will as it is being done by Dr woo :hehe:

Jazmine, sorry to hear you are having problems. I hope you recover from them quickly. :luv:

Kandy, It's not just the joints :( as I think I have a touch of phlebitis again. Still, I've got too much to do to let that stop me. :thumb:
What shots do your cats have? We never take Oscar to the vet for anything. He seems quite happy and healthy and will never let Mrs shiney take him near the road (we think he was knocked down by a car in his early years as we remember him walking around with a shaved patch on his hip) but he wanders through everyones' gardens with no problem.

Today, I think I shall take down all the bean plants, store the canes and sweep all the plastic that they grow through. That will probably take about three hours. I have meetings this afternoon and am out tonight. So that's another day done :hehe:

    Have a great day :D

    Have a great day

    Good morning everyone,

Lovely to see the Chile miners have all been brought up to the surface safely and lets hope that not too much damage has been done to them, both physically and mentally:p

Shiney sorry to hear about your Phlebitis:(and hope that you start to feel better soon.:)My right hip and ankle has been giving me jip these last few months, but after reading on other threads the problems that poor Chopper goes through then my aches and pains are not worth worrying about:)Our cats had to be inoculated against various feline dieseases when we rescued them as kittens seven years ago and because they go in the cattery it is insited that follow up boosters are done every year or else the catteries won't take them in.I feel that if we leave them here and have someone in to look after them while we are away, then they won't be here when we get home as they don't like strangers and are only used to the cattery as they have been going since they were kittens:p

Very cold here yesterday but at least it was dry.Had to get up into the loft to clear some boxes of stuff ready for the arrival of the builders tomorrow so that they can see what exactly needs doing to the chimney:oops:

Hope you all have a great day:)

Morning Woo didn't see you pop up there.Glad to hear that the PC work went ok.I have trouble just doing updates on the laptop and tend to leave them until they mount up:oops::hehe:

We are looking at new beds and have narrowed it down to a Imperial Ortuo{£699.95}from Harveys and it is a Sleepmaster one.The delivery charge for us is £35.We never ordered it as it was too close to the holiday but have to go back soon and see if they have gone back up ion price or have any more offers on.Oh and the price didn't include the headboard which would be another couple of hundred quid:p

Hope you manage to get one sorted:yez:

    Good morning everyone,

woo, I'm pleased the the computer transplants went well :gnthb:. Is she a fast lady now? :hehe:

Kandy, I saw a headboard down the dump the other day. You could have had it for a fiver :hehe:.

It is a rather gloomy looking day today and I have just heard that another of my friends have succumbed to the big C. He was only in his early 50's :(.

Today will be another busy day with a three hour meeting this morning. Then I shall be going to help Barry with some papers he has received and, if I get time, some more clearing up in the garden.

    Have a great day :D
