    Good afternoon everyone,

    Nice to see the :old:er generation managing to get on here after all {excluding Penny that is:D}

Woo don't let Rosa know you have some booze as she would be getting tiddly on that big bottle you have there and the rest of us wouldn't get a look in:hehe:I shall be glad when she gets back on line,it's been too long:D

I've been listening to 5 live this morning on the radio and they were verbally lynching some poor guy on there because he doesn't want to give up his one bed flat that he has worked hard to keep:pI am dreading what is going to happen to us all over the next four odd years as I can see history repeating it's self:(

Hope you all have a good afternoon and keep those hands and toes warm:)

The temperature is dropping here now and it is bitterly cold out there and raining as well..but the ground does need it...not:D

    Hi Shiney and Penny,

    Good morning everyone,

Nice to see more peepe posting,it takes the pressure off me a bit:yez::D

Jazmine I have kept in contact with Rosa because we have been friends for four years so like to keep in contact.:)

Well had a nice long chat again with my beloved last night, just hope that after the spending review he is still in a job when he gets back and his pension hasn't been slashed too much either, but then that was what we expected when the blue lot got in power:yez:

What I can't get my head around is this goverment want people off of benefits and into work and then in the next breath they are planning to make 500,000 people lose their jobs.Where is the logic in that:(

Good morning on this lovely sunny day :thumb:.

Kandy, I don't think you can use the word 'logic' in the same sentence as 'government' and 'politicians' doesn't matter what colour they are. I think that Gordon Brown, when he was Chancellor, made the biggest boob. It only took one decision to lose us 7 billion, with no effort, when he sold off our gold reserves when gold was at the lowest level it had ever been . No one had to do any work to lose that amount. He'd have done better selling it at a boot sale.

I had a bit of a disaster yesterday :(. I was in my office and lightly brushed my ankle againts a pile of paper. One of the pieces of paper cut a vein that protrudes at my ankle and there was a quarter of a pint of blood on the carpet before I could get to my bin where I had just dumped a couple of tissues. Five minutes of pressure on the vein and it had stopped bleeding and no sign of the cut left. I couldn't get all the blood out of the carpet so there are still light discolourations there.

I'm off for my regular appointment with the chiropodist this morning and then we are taking two friends out to lunch for their birthday. He is 90 and she is 89. :thmb:

    Have a great day :D

Hello the both of you 0)
Do you think we should advertise for more members to pop in? Let's hope Rosa gets back soon. :thmb:
I know you have been a good friend to her Kandy - she is a lovely lady and she has been greatly missed on here with her reports on what she has been doing in her house and outside of course :flwsml:
Shiney oh dear what have you been up to? It's a good job you didn't faint when you saw all that blood. Whatever did Mrs Shiney say? Please say hello to her from me.
Well I am hardly at home any more. Today I have been at my sons bungalow with the intention of doing a huge backlog of ironing for which I get paid. When I saw the state of the place I got stuck in as I couldn't leave it a mess.

    Goood morning everyone.

Jazmine, Mrs shiney sends her regards :gnthb:. She didn't say much about my leg but checked that it was OK. We are still trying to get the blood out of the carpet. It is covered in wet salt at the moment.

Our boiler seems to have packed up so I'm sitting here wrapped in a quilt at the moment. I shall be off to bed in a moment.

    Have a great day :D
