    Hi Shiney,

I was having a boardem {not boardroom}moment and felt like a change which as you know is a womans prorogativ{sp}:hehe:I think my brain is definetly getting worse as I keep looking at the words I am trying to type and the spelling just doesn't look right whichever way I try to spell them:oops::p

My sore throat has gone thanks Shiney so I must have been sleeping with my mouth open the night before:DI was still awake in the early hours this morning and yesterday I felt like I had been without sleep for days{now I know what jet lag feels like:p}I need to live somewhere sunny in the winter months but the exchange rate in europe is **** at the moment so will stay here instead:D

Glad to hear thta there are some nice genuine people in this world besides me and you who help others without ripping them off and hope that Barry can enjoy his future life without any worries:gnthb:

I have just got the catch up irioning done and now just off to get some waste body cells cleaned up:D

Oscar might be a bit deaf if he doesn't hear the fireworks as our dog was terrified of them until she got to about thirteen and then they never affected her but if you sneezed she ran a mile:oops::p

Sorry to hear about Monty trying to muscle in again. We have a ginger tom and a young black cat trying to take over the house but Davina the pedigree cat that has adopted us sits by the cat flap ready to give them a pasting if they put one whisker in the wrong place:hehe:

    Enjoy your outside work:thmb:

    Good morning everyone,

Penny enjoy your time in Toronto and hope you don't get too much of the wet stuff.

Well the rain came down quiet heavily from late afternoon onwards and continued well into the evening so it put a damp squid on the firework displays, although a few went off quiet close to us here. Our village is holding theirs tonight so hope the weatherr stays fine for them and they don't frighten the village pets too much:yez:

As it was raining last night we went and got our grocery shopping done last night and only got a few bargains as all the shelves had been emptied of the buy one get two free offers and the shelves hadn't been restocked:p

The sun is shining nicely out there so later on we will be able to go and collect the leaves that our leaf man has got for us ready for composting so that will be a good job done although I expect the path up to the lottie will be slippery after all the rain.My winetr broad beans are through so I noticed last week so we had better net them before the Wood pigeons peck all the tops off of them:oops:

Hope you all have a great day:)

    Good morning everyone,

It's also sunny here after heavy rain last night. When I was driving home about 11.30 the roads were flooded.

I was wrong about Oscar not being bothered by the fireworks. Apparently one of the neighbours had a big fireworks party and Oscar demanded to come into the kitchen. When I got home last night he was stretched out on the floor on his back with his rear paws up the front of a cupboard. At 1 a.m. when he was told to go out he happily strolled to the back door. When Mrs shiney opened the door and he saw it was peeing down he promptly turned round and sat down. Mrs shiney had to pick him up and take him to the greenhouse. :D

Before the rain yesteday I managed to mow up loads of leaves, have a big bonfire and take photos of lots of things that are flowering again in the the garden. I noticed that some of our garlic is already 9" high.

We have friends coming for dinner tonight so I shall work on a menu. I'm bravely fighting off 'man flu' at the moment and Mrs shiney's sympathy is working wonders :hehe:

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

Lovely Autumn colours you have there Woo:gnthb:We have been for some nice walks round the new woodland areas of our village and got some nice photos of the leaf colours.I do love this time of year:yez:

Shiney, hope your man flu didn't come to much after all especially as you had visitors coming last night.:DPoor old Oscar, you should let him have his basket in the kitchen or lounge so he can be a proper part of the family. Our would protest most loudly if they were made to live down in the greenhouse, although Poppy likes to lie on top of the staging in the summer months:D

O2,nice to see you on here and hope you are keeping well:)

I saw on a bird list update last night that there are some Waxwings been seen at some local woods so might see if Mr Kandy wants to go and see if we can spot them if they haven't cleared off.:DIt is the Brazilian Gran Prix this afternoon so I had better find something to do while he is watching it:p

Just going to check my lottery numbers now to see if I won the jackpot last night:yez:

    Good morning everyone,

    woo, lovely autumnal colour :thumb:

02, I hope you have the nice sunny morning we have to help counteract your S.A.D. :gnthb:

Kandy, I hope your lottery ticket is successful :thmb:

One of Mrs shiney's patients made a settee for Oscar some time ago and that is in the kitchen. He gets invited in occasionally but doesn't always accept. Typical cat :D. Sometimes she will call him and when he gets to the back door he plonks himself down on the step and won't come in. Other times he strolls in as though he owns the joint, has some food from the bowl of dry food that is always there, washes and either sleeps for a few hours before asking to go out (walks to the back door) or asks to go out immediately. It can't be because he is hungry as there is always dry food in his bowl in the propagator.

Last night there was an enormous fireworks display next door with very loud bangs. I reckon they must have spent about £500 on fireworks . Oscar was very unhappy when we went out to the greenhouse for him. He was up and out of the propagator like a shot and clinging on to Mrs Shiney's neck like mad. It took her about 15 minutes cuddling him indoors to get his purr back and his ears to stand up. She then brought him into the lounge (our friends were with us) where he knows he is not allowed (but sometimes manages to creep in there) and he went off to a corner under a table whilst the fireworks went on for about 2 hours.

When there hadn't been any fireworks noise for about half an hour he got up and asked to go out.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

We are being battered by wind and rain this morning so Mr Kandy should have gone to work today instead of having a day off:hehe:I expect we are gettign the tail end of some of the hurricans that are about at the moment over in the carribean.

Shiney, glad to see that Oscar has you both wrapped around his paw at times.:DWe have a ginger tom that has decided to adopt us and yesterday when I went to lock the back door before we went out I found it curled up in a box I had thrown out ready to go into the recycling bin:hehe:I will put up a photo to show you all:D

When we went out for our morning walk yesterday Shiney we found the remains of some of the rockets that was let off on Saturday in the village and some of them must have cost quiet a bit.I don't know what the average price is these days for fireworks as we don't buy them ourselves:p

Anway, hope you all have a great day and here is a photo of Ginge:p

    Good morning everyone,

Lots of wind (outside as well :hehe:) and the rain seems to have stopped. Last night when I went out at 7 p.m. I had to scrape the ice off the car.

Ginge looks lovely :gnthb:. Say hello from Mrs Shiney and myself 0)

The day was sunny but a bit chill and I managed a good walk and some more leaf clearing. Got quite a good shot of the sunset but I can't download any photos until we get our computer back. I'll chase up the repairman.

I'm off to the nurse today with my hospital report and the doctor next week. One of the things that the hospital has recommended is an injection immediately before I take any flight :(. It's not something I'm happy about and I shall see whether it can be avoided. My needle phobia is nowhere near as bad as it used to be but the thought of it is not good.

The pears have finished but there are still plenty of apples on the trees - well, there was yesterday before all this wind.

    Have a great day :D
