Good morning woo, Kandy and everyone,

Woo, I'm sure that you and the girls must have had an enjoyable walk if the weather is the same as here. :thumb:

It is lovely and bright with a very heavy frost that looks like a thin coating of snow on the trees and shrubs. I only spent about half an hour out there but it was good.

Kandy, you be careful out there when it is icy. It's obviously not a lot of use relying on the old boy to support you! :hehe:

When the computer engineer took our computer away he gave us another one to use whilst he had it. That way we can still get on the net or use Word etc and he doesn't have to rush. It's like the garage giving you a loan car whilst yours is in the garage. :)

Hopefully the part for our boiler will be here by lunchtime. Then I can have a shower :dh: before I have to go out at 1.30. Nowadays the houses aren't designed for no central heating. Fortunately when we had the lounge revamped last year and had the open fire taken out we had an electric one put in - I gave away my stock of logs. It isn't powerful enough to heat the room properly but it certainly keeps the chill off. Our only fan heater is here with me in my office. :thumb:

    Have a great day :D

Good evening Woo, Kandy, Shiney and Penny.

I see you have a new avatar Woo, a studious looking owl! It has been nice for your constitutional - I hope it stays that way.

Shiney, I hope you get everything sorted soon. I must admit I am a warm weather gardener and will reappear next Spring :hehe:

Kandy my friend slipped over on the pavement today and I could see it had shaken her a bit. As we get older the poor old bones take longer to heal too :(

Penny you are having the same weather as we are from the sound of it.

Today I took MIL shopping in one department store. We were there several hours as she has two sticks now ( two new knees and one hip) She was very appreciative and actually bought some clothes today :gnthb::hehe::gnthb:
    I came home exhausted!!!

    Good mornong everyone,

Shiney,Mr Kandy slipped again last night on the path but luckily we were holding hands so my wrist took all the pressure as it locked to stop him going all the way over.:oops:These tarmac paths are leathal much more so I think than the old slab paths of yester year:thmb:Hope you got the heating sorted and your computer back ok.Can't let Osacr and Mrs Shiney freeze in the cold weather, although today is mild and wet here:cool::D

Jazmine, sorry to hear about your friend and hope now that she has now got over it.The shopping sounds like it was tiring:D

No sign of Woo yet so I wonder if he has overslept this morning:D

Managed to get over to the allotment yesterday to keep mobile and covered some ground with black plastic and spread some leaves on another piece of ground before my back ache got too bad so had to go home:D

Had my first Christmas card come yesterday,it was from Rosa:)I tried five times to ring her last week and finally managed to get through to her at teatime but she was in the pub so couldn't speak because of the noise so she said to ring back later, which I did but couldn't get through again so had to give up as Mr Kandy wanted to ring his cousin up.I shall have to try again soon.I had written to her two weeks ago at the address she gave me but she did say that she hadn't recieved it so I don't know what has happened to it:(

Anyway, rain is forecast today so will have to wait and see how the day pans out regarding what I do today.:D

Hope you all have a good day:)

Good morning Kandy,Shiney,Jasmine and Penny and all my other friends here at Gardeners Corner,Yes Jazmine he is the originals cousin,he,s only here temporally ,the other one had an appointment with the talon manicurist :hehe: hope you are all OK and full of beans, only just got on line service has been down all night,so I phoned India this morning to see what the problem was,but there was a communication problem we both needed an interpreter :hehe:the first gentleman said that it would be down for a week, the second gentleman asked me exactly the same as the first gentleman, the third gentleman asked the same except had I tried turning my Modem off for two minutes,to which I replied yes and and then I turned my wonderful technological machine on and to my amazement and I suspect to divine intervention I was up and running again :ntwrth:everyone have a super Wednesday and please stay safe out there.:)

    My score this morning
    1.Patience...10 out of 10
    2.Frustration..10 out of 10

    Good mornig everyone,

Jazmine, I'm sure you still enjoyed your shopping trip :). We have to keep gardening no matter what the weather. At least, Mrs Shiney does :hehe:

Kandy, still no heating but the suppliers 'hope' to get the part in from the manufacturers today . Mrs Shiney is getting a bit depressed about it as we also have no hot water. I went to use the shower in our summerhouse (small tank with an immersion heater) and although the water is hot it was a while before I could have my shower :(. A seal had gone in the pipe to the shower rose and within seconds the water had squirted over the ceiling and walls and the floor was flooding.
The computer is back and it seems as though we have all our stored emails back. We can't be sure as they are spread amongst 300 folders that are all labelled 'Recovered files'. We shall have to check each one and rebuild all the folders and refile them. Mrs Shiney doesn't have the patience to do it so that will be my job nearly 4,000 emails.

Woo, congratulations on 10 out of 10 for politeness :gnthb:. You must be a saint :ntwrth: :ntwrth: :hehe:

We have a busy day today.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

Dark out there this morning so don't know what the weather is doing but I expect it will be some of the wet stuff:D

Woo,hope you enjoy your orning walk with the girls and that the weather is good for you:thumb:

Shiney,Sorry to hear you still have no hot water, but can sympathize with you as we had the same problem years ago when the boiler where we used to live packed up one winter and as we had lent my inlaws our calor gas heater to help them out we were freezing and we didn't have a shower fitted in those days,so had the problem for weeks until Mr Kandy fitted a new boiler:pHope you get it sorted soon:gnthb:Gald also to hear that you have your computer back again:DOur anti virus is running out so Mr Kandy will have to sort out another one.so I expect that will cost an arm and a leg:D

I tried ringing Rosa twice again yesterday but no answer on her phone and as she didn't recive my last letter, don't know what to do as I can't keep sending 5the letters to the address she gave me if she doesn't receive them.I wonder if she hasn't told Royal Mail that she has moved:scratch:

Anway, had our Reed Bunting back in the garden yesterday afternoon so pleased to see he has made his way back to us and hadn't forgotten us.His memory must be very good to keep remembering where we live each year:cool:

The floods in Cornwall were bad and we have been thinking of going there for our holidays next summer.

Hope you all have a good day:)

Oh dear Shiney things seem to be playing up for you at the moment :( I hope you can get everything back in good working order soon, poor Mrs Shiney having to cope with it all. I bet Oscar sits in his lovely warm bed and just grins :D

Kandy I hope Rosa can get her computer up and running soon, she certainly brightens the place up with all her tales :o
I have been watching the news about the Cornwall floods as for years it has been a family holiday destination in Par [near St Austell] and I also have a cyber friend who I have known for a few years [and met] who lives in Cornwall.

I have been working today to help my son and earn some money. I am behind here as I have only made a few Christmas cards and have loads to do. Sometimes I have to kick myself to get going. :dh:

    Kandy,
I'm just off to a meeting but when I get a moment I shall give you Rosa's latest address. Got a card from her today. You will probably have got one today or possibly will get it tomorrow.

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

I see Shiney is around on the boards so no doubt he will perhaps pop in a say Hi today:D

Woo we have thick fog here as well this morning, although the sun is out and trying to burn it off.Hope you had a good walk with the ladies this morning:gnthb:Is Tiny ok? as I see you have only mentioned Gypsy and Penny in your post:scratch:

I am late on here this morning as I have been preparing carrots that I dug up the other day ready for the freezer, been getting washing done and dried, hoovered out my car and will be washing it later on ready for it's day out to the garage on Mondayso must have it looking all nice and clean:DIt was bitterly cold out there so had to come indoors and get my woolly gloves as my hands were aching with the cold in them:oops:

While i was having a nice hot drink I phoned Rosa again and this time she answered the phone:yho:Anyway,we had a nice long chat and she has been telling me that she has been poorly and ended up in Hospital the other week but is over the worst now apart from the bad memory as she had recieved the letter I sent her the other week:DShe says 0)to everyone and says she will be back on line when O2 get her sorted as she wasn't on their list and they have told her it could be six weeks before she is up and running again.I told her to keep pestering them to speed things up a bit,as it will be nice when she is back on line, although once the better weather arrives she will probably be busy enjoying her new garden:)I told her that people had recieved her Christmas cards and she was pleased and as mentioned before will be spending time over Christmas with friends and family.:DRosa, already has her flat filled with all her Christmas decortations so she is further on than me as I have only got as far as wrapping my prezzies and writing out some of my cards and I started that in October:yez::hehe:Oh and Rosa says she has found a nice pub close by to where she lives so spends most of her time in there enjoying a nice pub atmosphere with her friends and it is probably a bit warmer as well:D

Anyway,I had better go and get the inside of the car cleaned of mud that has ended up on some of the plastic parts due to the allotment work the car has to do so hope you all have a great day in all that you do:)
