    Good morning Woo and everyone,

Lovely early morning view Woo:gnthb:It's just getting light here but no sign of the sun:D

I mentioned to Mr Kandy that we were in for a light dusting of snow for today but he said no we would just miss it,but I looked out of the window when i got up and we have had a dusting so i was right for once:hehe:although it isn't the few inches i was hoping for:D

Weighed myself this monring and I have lost another 3lb in weight so I am pleased.:yez:

Anyway, better go and make a start on the day and see if Mr Kandy wants to do food shopping or go out getting some piccys.I think i know what he will want to do:D

    Have a good day everyone:)

PS Forgot to say I have snowdrops pushing through the soil and have just popped out to get the frozen bird seed back indoors and noticed it is still snowing albeit rather tiny flakes but it is a start:hehe:

Good morning penny, woo, woo, Kandy and everyone :thumb:

It's a bit chilly here in Shineyland. The heating has packed up again. The first time it was the motorised valve (not too expensive), the second time it was the fan (£200 :() and now it appears to be the pump (won't know the price until they get here later today).

But we're OK as I'm sucking a Polo and we are huddling around it. :hehe:

We're thinking of joining Oscar in his propagator k-l

I can't continue to mow up the leaves until the frost has gone and it doesn't look as though that will be anytime today. I suppose I shall have to continue with the paperwork. :)

    Have a great day :D

Morning Woo, Morning Woo..I am seeing double this morning..:help:

Shiney oh what a pain in the proverbial for you. It could turn out to be quite expensive for you to get it all sorted now. I hope you have some other form of heat for the home to tide you over?

We have snow here which looks pretty but not good for travel and my son and his partner are off to London to see The Lion King. I am worrying about them already. That means the little man is coming here for the weekend so a busy weekend for Nana Kath. The dinosaurs are ready :lollol:

Kandy you are doing well with the weight loss! I went to the hospital yesterday and she didn't mention my weight!!! :)

    Good morning everyone,

I thought I had beaten Woo this morning as I am up so early but noticed he has already posted in the early hours elsewhere on the forum:D

I got woken up by two of our cats having a punch up and after lying here for an hour unable to go back to sleep decided to catch up with whats going on in the world of the web:D

Shiney sorry that your boiler has packed up.We have had problems with ours and it is only nine years old.:(I can't remember if we have had to have a new pump or not, will have to ask Mr Kandy.Good job you had that electric fire fitted so at least you have some form of backup heating, although it is more expensive to heat by leccy as you know:yez:

Jazmine if the hospital never mentioned your weight then they are probably quiet happy with it:thmb:Wehn i went on the second part of the Desmond course last week we had two tables set up with artficial foods and had to put them in order of fat content. It is quiet shocking to see what food items have the most fat in them but at least I know that mono unsaturated fat is the best type to get inside you for good health but not too much of it:D

Anyway,it is -5c outside so a tad cold, brrrrrr.I have made a lovely stew in my slow cooker for todays dinner so after going to the allotment to see what veggies we can prise out of the ground will be glad of it when we get home.Won't be doing any dumplings though:D

    Have a good day everyone:)

    Good morning everyone,

It is very frosty and icy but the sun is trying to soften it up. I have to go up to London today (not to the Lion King :hehe:) so hope the roads are OK.

The heating is back again. It didn't take long for them to fix it as it was only the ballcock that got stuck and the header tank was empty.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

Running a bit late this morning due to a sleepless night, but starting to unstiffen a bit now:p

We had -5c last night so everywhere has a good haw frost which looks quiet pretty.Just been outside taking a few piccys of frozen rose flowers etc but thye don't look as good yet as they did the other year when i got some cracking photos of them covered in frost. One thing I will say about my Dublin Bay rose is that it goes on and on and on and on,a bit like me:lollol:

By the way,we went and ordered that new bed we have had our eye on and the very nice lady from Sleepmasters gave us a good discount {£90} and the bed is being delivered December 16th so Mr Kandy is going to have a day off when they come to deliver it all being well with the weather:p

I'm busy at the moment sorting through some of the boxes that came down from the loft the other week, and it is amazing how much rubbish we keep so have chucked out lots of gardening mags in the reycling bin so that is a good deed done.:p

Hope you all keep warm and well wrapped up as it is due to get colder over the next few weeks so they say:D

    Good morning everyone,

It dropped to -6 here last night but we are all snug in our lovely warm house - fingers crossed! :)

Kandy, that sounds a good discount :thumb:. Make sure that they put the bed together in your house for you. We don't want you putting your back out again. Most bedding shops will assemble the bed and take the old one away. Check with the salesman about that - if you haven't already done so.

Mrs shiney has someone staying in the summerhouse tomorrow night so wqe shall have to get the place ready for them - we don't have a spare bedroom. We shall have to move plants and furniture, set up the convertible bed and get the place nice and warm.

We're meeting some friends for lunch at a pub in a village only a few miles away that does special lunches for wrinklies. A good choice of BIG main courses, dessert and tea/coffee for £7. Great value for money. :gnthb:

Keep warm and have a great day :D

    Hi Shiney,

We checked with the sales lady about the old bed and she said it is up to us to get rid of the old one but the delivery men will assemble the new one and take away all the packing etc. There is no way am I doing anything that involves lifting heavy beds etc.I have learnt that after carrying heavy wet leaf bags the other week, plus slipping over on that ice and going flat on my back two weeks ago hasn't helped either. We popped into the allotment yesterday afternoon after getting the bed sorted and I couldn't even lift my legs on at a time over the wire fencing we have round the plots to keep the bunnies out,but keeping mobile is helping although it is going to take time:p

Good luck with your firend visit and make sure you do keep them warm and don't go too mad with the BIG meal.Think of your poor old arteries:hehe:

Just had a shower now going to deforst the car and go and get my hair trimmed ready for xmas before I start to look like a troll:p

Enjoy your meal and your day:luv:

PS the lady at Sleepmasters said we have to try the bed out for 28 days and if the bed is not suitable then to contact them and they will replace it but we can only do that once, but as this is the only bed we have found that is good enough it will have to last until we pop our clogs or whatever the saying is:p
