    Good evening all,

I don't know how long it will take me to catch up with things on GC and at home :s. 183 letters to get through and still over 100 emails to go (can't remember how many dealt with already:rolleyespink:

I hope all of you have coped OK with the weather and are keeping well and thanks for the welcome back .

Kandy, I hope Mr Kandy's mouth gets better quickly.

Oscar was fast asleep in his house when we got home yesterday. He clung very hard to Mrs shiney when she picked him up but he had lost his voice - he always loses it when we go away. We can only think that he loses it when he is upset. Fortunately it was only a matter of about five minutes before his purr started up very loudly. He now makes little squeaks when he talks to us. This also happens when we have been away. The squeaks will eventually turn into little miaows. At the moment he is fast asleep on his little settee in the kitchen.

My computer has been rebuilt by a friend and he has just got to put another piece of memory into it (pity we can't have that done as well :heehee:). I'm still trying to get used to it and also download all the bits and pieces that we need. I'm downloading 'FlashPlayer' at the moment. I don't seem to be able to download my photos to the computer as it keeps trying to download it to drive G - I haven't got a drive G :s!!!!!

We're just going to pop up to our local Indian as we haven't had a good curry for five weeks and we're getting withdrawal symptoms.

I don't seem to be able to get the extra smilies. I click on 'get more' and it brings up the page with the smilies but when I click on them they don't do anything.

    Keep well

Hello friends - Shiney I am so pleased to see you back. That local Indian wouldn't be the one you kindly took us to would it? I have withdrawal symptoms too :inautumnleaves: I love this smilie!
I think Oscar must be very attached to Mrs Shiney. He obviously misses you both a lot

Oh dear Kandy, I don't like the sound of Mr.Kandys experience at the dentist at all. My crown is costing £200 as it is in the third? band of payment. I am not looking forward to Thursday but it has to be done.
Penny I hope you don't get any more snow and Woo the weather should be getting a little milder so all good for your walks. When I walked into the centre of Norwich Monday there was a blackbird singing its heart out in the tree in a churchyard. It made me think of Spring. :rolleyespink::rolleyespink::rolleyespink:

    Good afternoon everyone,

It's mild with intermittent rain and a touch of sunshine .

Whilst we've been away the deer have been in and munched away half of a euonymous that was 7ft high and 4ft diameter. Now, one side has gone completely and the other side has been eaten up to about 4ft high with dead branches strewn on the ground. A 7ft high forsythia is now a 1ft high forsythia. :@

Our neighbour has taken out a section of fencing at the back of the garden whilst he is doing some work there. I reckon they got in that way.

Jazmine, yes, it is the same Indian. We enjoyed our meal

    Have a great day

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

Woo, what time is the BBQ? I'll arrange a bus to bring us all. :heehee:

It's a lovely spring day here as well. We got a lot of tidying up done in the garden yesterday and our new 200 sq ft extension to our flower bed is looking good - no plants in it yet. I can't put up any photos because I haven't been able to download from the camera since the rebuild of the computer :s. It keeps trying to download the photos to drive G - which I don't have.

    Have a great day

    Good evening everyone.

Been quiet busy these last couple of days so not getting a chance to get on here at the right time.

    Shiney sorry to hear about your deer problems and hope they haven't devastated your garden too much.The weather hasn't been too brilliant up our way so can't get out into the garden at the moment so getting stuff done indoors. :angel: I forgot to say our new bed has really helped my back problems once I got used to it and haven't had any Sciatica problems for quiet a few weeks.{smilies are on strike again and why have we still got xmas ones?}

Woo good luck with your BBQ when the summer gets here.

Jazmine,Mr Kandy had to have the afternoon off work after his visit to the dentist as he felt so rough after having the dentist hit the absess a few time he was in such a state he could't even hold the pen properly at the reception desk.I dread to think what he will be like when he goes back next week :rolleyespink:

Hope you all have a good evening...

Hi Woo,we always smile when we are on holiday as we come back to base camp from a days walking and a lot of the men folk on the site are all outside with these very large BBQ machines trying to get the coals{or whatever they are called} hot and in the meantime we have cooked dinner eaten it and done the washing up and are ready to go for an evening stroll whereby they are just starting to cremate their offerings and the smell from the stinky smoke is another conversation altogether :heehee:

    Good morning everyone,

Woo, if you've got worms you can get something from the doctor for it :heehee:. See you at 5 p.m. I'll bring some birdseed toasties for you.

Kandy, I hope Mr Kandy is feeling better.
We never have any problem getting the BBQ hot quickly. I use the modern equivalent of the bellows that the blacksmiths used to use. It's called a hairdryer :heehee:. Once we have lit the charcoal it only takes about 10 minutes or so for the hairdryer to get it ready . I never understand why people burn the food on a BBQ. Used properly it should never happen. You can even cook roast beef on it.

    Have a great day :D
