    Good afternoon everyone,

I seem to be getting nowhere fast with trying to catch up on things. Still half the mail to open and deal with.

We won the match yesterday and the opposition were a very hospitable team :dbgrtmb:. The journey was 80 miles each way and it only took an hour and a quarter so we were very pleased. :)

Penny, that is a bit chilly :rolleyespink:

    Back to the grindstone.

    Have a great day :D

Good morning everyone hope you are all ok.

Shiney well done in beating the opposition in the tournament and you did the distance in good time.

Good luck with catching up with all your mail.I have just finished doing mine so they are out oif the way now. :D

Well,I got a bike ride in yesterday afternoon when the rain stopped but had to clean the mud off of my bike before i could put it away and then last night ran on the spot for 3,000 meters in ten minutes on my wii fit + {not sure how far that is in old money}Mr Kandy didn't think i could do it but i proved him wrong. :heehee: Didn't lose any weight through it though so will have to try harder. :rolleyespink:

Anyway,it is dry here today and so will get some more gardening or allotmenteering done me thinks.

Have a good day everyone :)

    Good morning everyone.

I saw some snowdrops in bloom yesterday! I don't think my few are out yet but I need to have a look to see what is happening outside!

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

Kandy, that's just under two miles so that was just over 11 mph. :dbgrtmb:

Last night at about 9 o'clock it started pelting with rain and was still coming down hard at 11.30 when I was driving home from the other side of Hertfordshire. The roads were flooded and the M25 had patches of standing water where some of the cars were aquaplaning. There'll be no gardening for us for a few days as it is so soggy out there. :frown:

    Have a great day :D

    Evening everyone :rolleyespink:

Shiney you have a "star" in your name [old you know what] Have you been censored? :D

It has been cold here but I have been indoors all day and decided to clean all the bird feeders-what a messy job it was too. I spotted a tit checking out a nestbox and am getting excited about the warmer weather coming.

    Good morning Woo and everyone,

The time is still all over the place on the forum despite doing everything that i have been advised and it ranges from being correct when i ead the front page to being an hour behind again so i don't know the correct time that people are posting :rolleyespink:

Shiney, thanks for the info regarding the running range but wasn't sure what it was in old money. It is quiet comical watching my little wii person running up and down hills and i make sure i run faster when going up them, phew :D I didn't go on it last night as we went out on an errand and just had a good walk round the village instead,We didn't have the rain though thankfully :P Hope you manage to get the emails done in the end as well...

Anyway,i managed to get over to the allotment yesterday afternoon and got some more black platic laid down on the ground but am running out of bricks and wood to weigh it all down :P My winetr broad beans are not doing too well apart from a few that survived the frost so that was £6 down the drain  Got some digging done in Mr Kandy's cold frame and started winter digging another piece of spare ground. The sun was shining and the birds were singing so i was a happy bunny plus i slept like a log last night :D

We have frost and fog this morning so am going to work in the greenhouse and house today as i still have loads of stuff that wants chucking out.

Hope you all have a great day :)

    Good morning everyone,

It has been a busy week this week. I ran a successful charity event on Wednesday night and last night we had our bridge club Annual Dinner and Dance. I kept my speech to a minimum - just over a minute - which I think everyone appreciated. I think the clapping was because I didn't say more :heehee:

I'm still trying to file our 2,500 holiday photos. I thought it would be better to file them before looking through them to delete the rubbish. The filing is to put them into different folders for each place we went (whilst I can remember) then I can pull up each folder and check through them.

The last few days we have seen evidence of a mouse in the cupboard under the kitchen sink. We put down a humane mouse trap but each time the bait had been taken and the mousetrap closed without any mouse in it. So I put some mouse poison in the cupboard as well. Last night when we got home a mouse was in the trap, running around, and Mrs shiney took it out into the fields across the road and released it. We think we may still have more so are keeping the trap baited. More info tomorrow :heehee:

    Have a great day :D
