    Good morning friends :luv:

OH is at the gym so I am having a well earned tea break here.

Woo you always give us a terrific start to the day thankyou. :gnthb:

Clara, just think three squid paid for three tickets!!

Shiney lol at you and I could just imagine you directing the traffic.

Kandy I took a couple of pics at Strumpshaw and will get one on here when OH does it for me :cnfs: Thanks for the pointers re weight loss -I will read through. I think it is more of a mental thing with me  as I eat for comfort a lot of the time. I will get to the bottom of that soon though.

It is sunny here, have a great day and take time out for yourselves too.

    Good morning everyone,

Dry here again this morning although we have had a few spots of rain yesterday it didn't come to much:p

Spent a good three hours yesterday evening up at our duck pond catching the goldfish that were struggling and another chap who happened to walk past caught some as well and has now gone off to put them in his very large pond:D We caught a leech as well by mistake and had a hard time dispatching it but it is well and truly dead now:p

We have got at least 100 plus in various containers in the garden plus some Dragon Fly lava which needs to go back into a pond at some point.Mr Kandy emptied the water butt and put some prime which he uses on the aquarium to get rid of nasty chemicals from the water as we had to use tap water as well when we emptied the waterbutt.

We are going to contact our fish man when he opens to see if he wants to take them off of our hands,if not we are going to have problems:roll:
Anyway, have taken some photos so will have to put one or two up on here.Have a good day everyone:)

    Good morning everyone,

We had a little drizzle during the night but we have lovely warm sunshine now :thumb:.

Kandy, have you been fishing because the pond is drying up or is there another problem with it?

I've got to go as the Japanese students have just arrived. Once they have started on their studying I shall get to work preparing the food for lunch. :)

    Have a great day :D

Morning Kandy & shiney.. My you & Mr K were busy last night then Kandy..!!! :gnthb: I am sure there will be a big spot in Animal Heaven for you Kandy, you are so kind to them all.... ~It is so unfair that people put their goldfish in ponds like that just because they are fed up with them...!!! I hope you have some luck with your local guy, if not pet shop might be your next port of call... Good luck with it all Kandy & look forward to your photos & a happy outcome..!! :gnthb:

    Hi Shiney and Marley,

The pond is our village pond and is actually a dew pond and has been such since long before our village was thought of.

Anyway, some bright spark decided to get a band of villagers together the other year and ruin the pond by putting carpet down on the bottom, placing breeze blocks on top of the carpet, and then digging out for a raised picnic area etc etc.A lot of work was done on said pond which in actual fact looked quiet decent before work started but since it has been finished last year and the dry weather it has sarted to look a mess.

Anyway,we have taken all 205{The other chap must have had about the same amount} of the fish down to the fish shop where we get our tropical stuff from and the fish shop owner has put them temporarily in a large blue plastic pond and is treating them as he said the gills will have been damaged living in all that filth and said he will make it right with us if he manages to sell them as he reckons the brown goldfish won't sell as well as the orange ones.If he sells tham for a pound a piece he will make himself a nice bit of money, but we had nowhere to keep them,so they were better off with him:D

I will hopefully get the photos on here later today, plus in the meantime we will go and check on the pond again because there were still a few left in there but they were going down into the sludge as the light was fading.:p

Marley,as I said on the weather thread yesterday, people are so thoughtless when they have these pets and just don't think of the harm they are doing to the enviroment when they tamper with dew ponds and dispose of pets in these ways especially when we are running out of water:mad:

PS,I made Mr Kandy strip off in the kitchen last night when we had finished as he ponged a lot.Even his walking shoes ended up in the washing machine:D

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

Lovely and sunny here this morning although we could still do with some rain as we have all said before:p

Hopefully we are off out today once Mr Kandy gets going as the weather is going to be better today than tomorrow so will probably see you all tomorrow:)

Hope you all have a lovely day:)

PS Shiney,I have written a piece and put up some photos on the wildlife thread about the pond rescue:)

Good morning Kandy, Marley and everyone,

Kandy, that's a lot of hard work that you and Mr Kandy have done :gnthb:

I bet Mr Kandy thought he was on to a good thing when you told him to strip off in the kitchen :hehe: :hehe:.

Today we are going to the big 'Art In Clay' festival at Hatfield House. Some of the work is fantastic. There are lots of big marquees of exhibitors and thousands of people. As it is spread over a lot of ground it doesn't seem too crowded.

    Have a great day :D
