    Hello everyone

So sorry about your sad news, Kandy.

Shiney, I think mice are evolving to take over the world. Mind you, we did have rather a dim one in the kitchen a few years back. It decided to climb into the toaster to pinch the crumbs. OH didn't notice a thing until he started doing the breakfast toast. Mouse got very, very excited as the machine warmed up. However, we managed to extract it from the toaster before it got grilled and later released it in the park up the road - much to the cat's disgust.

Brrrr, that sounds cold, Penny. Murky here but comparatively warm. We are a promised a cold weekend, however.

    Good morning everyone,

I haven't checked on Supermouse today.

I noticed yesterday that one of the roof panels on the greenhouse is cracked right across. The weight of snow probably did it. I'm not going to attempt to fix it myself but shall get the local glazier to do it. The pane of glass is 57" x 29" and I'd rather let them work on getting it out (it's going to fall apart) and fitting the new one.

I'm dtill checking through my holiday photos but may sort out some of the wildlife ones - mainly birds - and post them on the correct threads if I can find them. I'm still Trying to get used to the new format on here.

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning everyone,

This site sure is funny.I logged on and tried going onto page 38 which is the last one and it came up with an error message so have ended up clicking on page 37 to get to this page :what:

Anyway, just had to go and get my car fixed.Had a nail which has been taken out and the tyre repaired on one wheel and had to have a new tyre due to a split on the tread wall and low tread on another wheel so had to have that done as well.At least i am mobile again so that is good. :D

It is bitterly cold out there today but at least it is dry but they reckon it will be even colder over the coming weekend, brrrr :rolleyespink:

Hope everyone has a good day :)

Morning Kandy and everyone.:) Glad you've got your car up and running again Kandy,

there is always something to fork out for isnt there, at least you dont have to worry about your tyres for a while.

its a lovely sunny morning here, even though it is very cold.

I was going to the gym this morning with a friend but it looks like she has let me down.:cry3:

She isnt returning my calls or texts. No doubt she will have some excuse.

It was my first time back after about 10 months so I was looking forward to a bit of support.

Oh well never mind, I'll go in about an hours time it will be less busy then. Once Ive bitten the bullet and

made my first trip it will get easier from then on.:th_scifD36:

    Hope everyone is OK

Hi 02 and hope you are well

I only had my car MOTed in December so thought that if the tread was getting low they would have mentioned it,and it isn't as if i do loads of miles a week. There are houses being built in our village and the first place the tilers chuck any bent nails is in the road.I have picked up loads of nails and screws that i have spotted in our road alone which would have ended up in someones tyres

I went to the gym for nine months a few years back and used to be there for six when it opened and really enjoyed going especially the Jaccuzzi bit with the hot bubbly water but then on holiday in the summer i stubbed my toe on the caravan door frame which was metal and ended up breaking the toe and ended up giving up with the gym as the pain when trying to swim was horrendous.

Don't give up on your friend as she may be unwell or got a few personal problems to deal with in her life.Give it a few more days and then try again to contact her :)

Enjoy your day and don't overdo it to begin with :D

 Morning O2 & Kandy, bitterly cold here, sunny but the wind is bitter & makes it feel even colder...!! Glad you got your tires fixed Kandy, you need to have good tyres this time of year, but there is always something, I think the exhaust may just be starting to go on mine.!

Sorry your friend let you down O2, but as Kandy says just take it steadily, you will probably do allot better on your own as you will be able to set your own pace.. Enjoy it carefully.. :WINK1:

Have a good day everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

I haven't been on this thread for a couple of days as my GC time has been taken up with posting birds and animals on threads.

There was no further news on Supermouse until today. This morning a mouse was in the trap and has been given a holiday trip to the field up the road on the other side of the road. I don't know whether it is Supermouse or whether he tricked another mouse into tripping the trap. We shall wait and see. :)

    Have a great day :D

    Good morning Shiney and everyone.

I haven't been on here much either,as i can't be bothered with it much at the moment. :P

Shiney glad you are getting the resident mice sorted.A friend of ours said that if a mouse/mice have been poisoned then they will put scraps of rubbish etc on top of the seed to warn others that they have been poisoned, but as you are catching yours in a humane trap you won't have that problem.:D

It is bitterly cold out there this morning and have just got back from doing our grocery shopping.Even i'm getting fed up with going down there now.Must be my age me thinks :loll:

Have a good day everyone :)

    Good morning everyone,

I must have slept awkwardly last night as my back is bothering me and the arthritis in my right thumb is quite bad. I think I must have been lying on it. A bit of massage on it should help :thumb:

I've got a bat box to put up today. I've had to move the brackets that were on it because they had fitted them so that I couldn't get to the holes that I'm supposed to use to hang it up . There were no instructions with it so I have been reading up on where I'm supposed to hang it. It needs to be at least 2 metres high (they fly into it from the bottom) and need a clear flight path to it. So I can't put it on the trunk of the willow tree as the branches hang down all around.

I'm going to put it on one of the gable ends of the summerhouse but as it is made of angled barge board I shall need to find and insert a spare section so that it will be flat and vertical. I hope the bats aren't expecting to move in anytime soon! :heehee:

Mouse update: another mouse has just been taken on holiday to the field up the road.

Keep well and have a great day :D
