    Its another cold and blustery day today......i was supposed to go to Toronto, but I'll go Monday instead.

    It's a busy, busy day today and a busy weekend coming up. :rolleyespink:

    Kandy, I hope you are beginning to feel better as the plants start to show their new growth. :thumb:
    Our aconites are also just showing their lovely bright yellow flowers, not open yet, but I wasn't able to take photos of them when I took the photos to post on 'What's looking good ...'. I hadn't charged up the battery for the camera and it ran out whilst I was using it! :DOH: :DOH:

    Last night and today have been very windy but it is helping dry our the ground :thumbsup:

    Afternoon all :)

    I hope everyone is well. I have had stuff to deal with here and haven't been around much. Yesterday I went over to my sons and we took his new little dog ( rescued from abandonment) over Mousehold Heath and the view over Norwich is spectacular. I thought to myself these really are the things that matter to me now - I must be getting old !

    It is soo windy here.

    Have a good day everyone. I am off out with my friend, we are going to visit a friend still in hospital - I hope things will have improved for her today.
    OH just gave me a weather report after his morning walk. Still breezy but not too cold! :thumbsup:

    Its blowing a gale here in Manchester, its bin day here today and Ive had to go out and pick them up twice:DOH:

    O2, it's still blowing a gale here and has been for four days now. Enjoy your time at the gym. :thumb:

    Saturday was a busy day as the annual quiz I organise for the bridge club was in the evening. During the day we had to set up the hall and prepare all the food for 100 people. It went very well :dbgrtmb:

    Yesterday I had a bridge match playing for the county against Cambridge Uni. My team won :yahoo:

    Now I'm trying to catch up on the things I've neglected.

    Thankyou for your good wishes. We went to the hospital, she has had a second hip put in plus SIX femur fractures repaired. She looked poorly really and this is a very active girl younger than me. It puts things into perspective doesn't it? :cry3:

    Well done Shiney and hope Mrs Shiney isn't on your "neglects" list!

    Good morning again :heehee:

    After a good couple of hours sleep I'm back at the computer whilst I have my morning mugs of hot water. It is very frosty out there but the winds have finally dropped.

    The plants really think that spring is coming and a lot of them are starting to bloom. The early snowdrops are doing well and the others are just starting to show some colour. Iris reticulata are in full bloom and the crocci are doing well. Five varieties of hellebore are now in bloom and the wychhazel and sarcoccoca are giving off their wonderful scents.

    I also put up a bat box yesterday so we hope they will come and set up home soon.

    Winds dropped here in Northampton and a frosty morning . Sun looks like it will be here today so probably get out and do some tidying in the garden .

    It was a lovely sunny day yesterday after the heavy frost but I was too busy to get any gardening done.

    Just off to bed now but hope it is a nice day when I get up so I can get on with the gardening. :)
