Morning Shiney, Woo and everyone. Hope Shiney and Woo are feeling much better.

I had a fantastic day yesterday. My step daughter was given an allotment within 5 mins walking distance from where we both live.

It has been left in a terrible state with stuff dumped on it broken glass etc. So we had a wood burning day.

we finished off the day by baking some potatoes in the fire and cooking some sausages and a couple flasks of tea, boy did it taste good.:heehee:

Hope you all have a lovely sunday.

    Hello all :)
Woo I really hope things improve for you my friend. Health is so precious and I wish I had half of your positive attitude toward life. I have never heard you moan and you always post cheerful posts - sending good thoughts your way.
Shiney your cooking sounds lovely. I love the quorn recipes :rolleyespink:
O2 enjoy your allotment, I am sooo envious although I wouldn't have a clue where to start!

Well I have been away for a few days [down south] to a cyber friends surprise 50th birthday party. It was worth all the effort booking the hotel, keeping it secret etc to see her face when she walked in. I have met her once before but I think we will stay friends forever! :)

    Good afternoon everyone :)

Sorry to hear that Shiney and Woo have both been feeling under the weather and hope you both are feeling a lot better now. :dbgrtmb:

Well I had a good week with Mr Kandy last week when he was off work for the week and managed a couple of days out down to the Cotswolds on Monday and then had a visit to Crow/Croyland{Different spellling?} Abbey which was a good way to spend a couple of hours. We visited Stowe on The Wold,Bourton on The Water and Broadway Tower on Monday and took quiet a few picckies while we were at the various places. We had good weather although the wind was bitter :P

This morning I have been preparing the meat and fresh veggies for dinner tonight and have also been preparing the last of our home grown apples for the freezer as they are now starting to go over a bit. :P

Watched The Tudors on the telly last Saturday although it was a bit gory in places so couldn't watch those bits and had to turn down the volume when the axe fell :rolleyespink: Jonathon Rhys Meyers and Torrance Coombs are great looking actors as well :P

Cold here this morning and now we have rain so no outdoor work today.Have a good day everyone :)

    Good morning everyone,

woo, it's good to see you here :dbgrtmb:. Look after yourself :)

Kandy, I'm pleased you had a good time in the Cotswolds. It's a lovely area. I guess you didn't go into The Lygon Arms for afternoon tea :heehee:. Neither did we as it was so expensive but Mrs shiney says the toilets are worth a visit. :loll: :loll: :loll:

It looks as though you have sent your rain down here. Just as I was feeling fit enough to do some work in the garden :rolleyespink:.

An area of the garden near the front has subsided. It is about 5ft in diameter and appears to be about 2.5ft deep. We had a giant ash tree taken down from there about 15 years ago and the stump was left - at ground level. A few years ago the stump rotted and collapsed and we filled it in with soil. I suppose all the root area has now rotted and it looks as though some animals have taken up residence as there are holes in the ground. They look a little small for rabbits but that may be because of the collapse. It now needs digging out and infilling. Mrs shiney says I'm not fit enough to do it yet so I shall have to leave it to Tracey but I'll stand by with a spade just in case it's rats.

As it is close to the road it is a part of the garden that Oscar won't go in. He has a very healthy respect for the road and traffic and keeps well away. We think he had a road accident years ago because we remember seeing him walking round our garden, over 10 years ago, with the fur on his hip shaved off.

    Have a great day :D

    Hi Shiney,

I think we drove past those Lygon Arms but never stopped in Chipping Campden,so never went to the loo there. :D I shall have to put up some photos when i get time but since PB has changed it takes ages to get my photos done ready for putting on here and even with the bulk uploader takes ages. :P

Good luck with the large hole and filling it in and hope that Oscar does keep away as you don't to lose him down it :rolleyespink:
