Started off sunny here this morning but now have rain,oh and Mr Kandy has a stinking cold so the house is stifling with the heat and I am suffocating,but no doubt we shall both get through it

We had a good start yesterday morning and thought that we had seen the last of the rain but it was short lived as once it started it didn't stop until the evening ready for our village walk. :D

Spoke on the phone to my sister in Devon and they had a glorious day down there so she managed to hang her washing out to dry and got her lawns cut :P

Woo i would love to own the rose in my Avatar,but sadly haven't been able to locate a nursery that sells them.A breeder would make a fortune if one could be bred with the same design.Do you know what rose it is?

Shiney,sounds like you have got a good deal on your insurance policies.We have been with the same one for years with the house insurance and diffrent ones for the cars and caravan etc but Mr Kandy deals with that side of things so i let him sort it out although i do keep telling him he ought to shop around for the best deals :D

We had a nice dry day yesterday although it was bittrely cold and we did have a sleet flurry on Monday.Not sure what today will bring as i can't be bothered with looking art the foirecast any more on the telly as they always get it wrong. :P

Morning Woo,i do hope that once the sunshine comes back that you start to feel a bit brighter{scuse pun}in yourself.I always feel much happier when we can feel the warmth on our bodies :D

Yes you are correct about the Tudor Rose but as i said it would be nice if you could buy one of that style as it would grace any stately home or castle. :D

Its a cold and blustery day here, no new snow though overnight.

It has been cold here and my son and his family came back from St Lucia today. I have missed them! The temperature difference was a bit of a shock for them

My daffs are nearly out at last. The birds are choosing their nest sites in the garden too. I cannot wait to get out there now.

Jazmine have you heard from Rosa lately?I sent her a letter and phoned her well before xmas and for the last few weeks have been trying to ring her again but all i get is a voice message saying the phone is switched off and to either try again later or send a text message but no pint in texting if she no longer has the phone switched on I expect she is getting on with her new life so hasn't got time for much else :D

Shiney,good to see you are out and about in the garden.We have had either rain this week or it has been too bitter with the cold wind although we managed half an hour outside yesterday teatime which is a start.My winter flowering iris are putting on a good show finally and the chicken pellets i sprinkled round them will give them a boost even if they did pong a bit,phew.:D

Penny you seem to have mixed weather where you are at the moment.Do you watch Ice road Truckers at all?

Mr Kandy is going back to work today and he heard yesterday that his mates have been dropping like flies with colds etc and everyone we meet seems to have them as well.Touch wood I am ok at the moment apart from stiff and painful hands :P

Hi Kandy I was wondering the exact same thing. I got a xmas card, then a letter so I phoned her. She spoke as if she was hoping to get up and running again and get back on GC .I haven't heard anything since but I haven't tried to ring her since. It's difficult to know really but I know you were a valued friend of hers so I am a little concerned she has not made contact .Maybe try writing again?

Shiney, it is freezing cold here too and I am getting fed up with it, I am not an indoors person at all I like the sound of a warm greenhouse! Can you put a chair in there? Would Oscar let you? Give my kind regards to Mrs Shiney please.
