    Good morning everyone,

I can tell that it is getting nearer to the winter and the dark nights as I am starting to struggle to get up at my usual summer times:p

I also have a house to look after while the owners are on holiday, despite them paying someone to come in to look after the stuff{it doesn't get done:cnfs:}and they even have a young chap house/dog sitting there.I don't know what it is about youngsters these days but the message doesn't seem to get through of what needs doing.:hehe:Mr Kandy waters the hanging baskets out the front of their house though as they are too tall for me:D

Dull here this morning so will see what happens weatherwise today.

Hope you all have a good day:)

    Hello all :luv:

Looks like I am last in again :)

I haven't been home long-had a mammoth session at the hair dressers ( 3 hours) then had lunch out then spent a happy hour or two in the library apart from the screaming children

    Good evening Jazmine :)

I'm just going to dish up my dinner. Roast beef, roast spuds, runner beans - yum yum :yho:. Mrs shiney is out so she won't see how much I'm eating. :hehe:

Tut tut, Shiney - roast dinner on a Thursday? Whatever next? Still, I can't talk. I've just been to see my Mum. She is the kind of person who says: 'well, I wish you'd given me more notice, I haven't got much food in the house' and then keeps on producing more and more grub and force-feeding you with it until you're in danger of bursting at the seams. She is possibly the only person on the planet who thinks of a large fresh cream doughnut as a 'little snack to keep you going until lunch'. Bang goes my diet. :help:

Good morning woo, Clare, Jazmine and everyone,

In Shineyland any day can be a roast day :yho:. The small piece of rolled rib cost me £3 and the potatoes and beans were from the garden :thumb:. The whole meal took 45 minutes to cook and a lot less to eat. :hehe:

I got back a little while ago from a pleasant two hour walk. It's cloudy but fairly mild with not a hint of a breeze. On my walk I came across a whole family of badgers playing. A very big adult was just sitting and watching them and was almost the size of a labrador dog but with shorter legs! The younger ones disappeared down some of then umerous holes but the adult just sat and watched me. I apologised for disturbing them and carried on walking. :)

The cloud cleared late last night and I sat out in the garden until 2 a.m. watching the meteors. An interesting display :gnthb:

    Have a great day :D

Hope you all have a great day:)

PS forgot to say in my rush we had heavy rain yesterday teatime with thunder and lightning mixed in but it soon passed us by but at least we were still able to get out for our evening power walk{me}and I have now lost another lb in weight thats two this week:yho:and Mr Kandy picked his first outdoor toms,{two}the first ones in three years as we have lost them the previous two years to blight so these resistant ones are good:thmb:

    Good Evening All

Woo, that is the only ride I dare go on, I am such a wimp I need to toughen up :skp:

    Stay cool Penny!

" very big adult was just sitting and watching them and was almost the size of a labrador dog but with shorter legs! " what a strange person Shiney :rotfl:

Kandy well done with the steady weight loss. I am depressed about my weight and that makes me eat more, I have given up with myself  Ineed a kick up the proverbial.

    Have a lovely evening everyone.

    Evenin' all,

Kandy, the koralik are doing OK now. The stems are thickening up and there are lots of toms forming. They look quite unusual for cherry toms as they are fairly well spaced out along the truss. Cherry toms normally grow quite close to each other. Our outside toms have been ripening quite well but the greenhouse ones are slow.

Jazmine, I've always been a strange person. :rotfl: :rotfl:

If the weather stays OK tomorrow we shall be going over to Leigh on Sea to look at an open garden. It's about 45 - 60 minutes away but we may also take a stroll along the beach. :gnthb:

Oscar says hello k-l to everyone.

    Good morning everyone:ywn:

Haven't been able to sleep since the early hours so in the end decided to get up and talk to you lot on here instead, although you are probably all asleep anyway:D:ywn:

Willpower is what you need Jazmine with lots of exercise, and low calorie/carb diet.I can only lose this weight due to meds that I am on plus even more exercise than what I have been doing, that is why my feet are so sore:(I used to be 6ft when I met Mr K but with all the walking we have done over the years I am now down to 5ft 1":p

Shiney, here are a couple of photos of the toms, but not sure whether the photos are of the same variety {Legend or Ferline}because my dear husband mixed up the labels and to me they both look about the same.He has picked the first two and said they tasted nice and have taken photos but have them on my card and won't put them on the computer until I have more picckys on the card.:p I never realised that Korilick were cherry toms.We will have to see if we can get some seed for next year:thmb:

Hope you have a good day at the seaside and hope the weather stays fine for you:D

We had rain on and off for most of the day yesterday and then had thunder and lightning during the evening but it had all but finished by the time we went to bed.The fish pond up the road is filling up again and the fish we gave to the fish man are all doing well so that was a good deed done:p

We have two 1tonne bags of soil and soil conditioner to move at some point today so that will be fun plus my back has been twinging so will see how it goes.

Anyway,I had better go or else you will all be up and about.:D

    Have a good day everyone:)

    Good morning Kandy and everyone,

    Kandy,
You're doing fantastically with your diet :gnthb:. I'm not losing weight because I'm not doing enough exercise. I'm a fair weather walker and it has been too hot for me to want to walk much - and now it's too wet :(. (They don't seem to have a smiley for 'lazy b*gger' :hehe:).

I spend a lot of time each day picking produce. About 10lb of runners, 1 or 2lb blackberries and 5lb of greengages. I also pick 4 or 5lb of rhubarb every 3 0r 4 days. Mrs shiney picks the toms and courgettes as I am allergic to the leaves.

These are the koralik toms. I've planted six plants in the part of the garden where we usually get blight as a test on their blight resistant claim. It's a slightly shadier area so they aren't yet ripe but I think they are starting to show a bit of colour on a few of the plants.

    Have a great day :D
