roders thanks for wishing me luck we are just going to the saturday meeting, got one horse in mind black jack ketchum backing him excellent speed horse, backed him his last two times out when he won, he could open out 11/8.we decided not to do the 2 days 1 because of the weather and we thought when we get there in the morning have breakfast somewere then my friend and i are having a look in shops and then going to the pub and watch racing there and of course go to the saturday meeting it should be a fun weekend.

kandy thank you for wishing me luck and keep your fingers crossed i manage to get some good pictures [IMG] [IMG]

Gogs I have never bet in me life, only when the Grand National is on the TV,but that is usually in work's sweeps.Mine is usually in front all the way round and then normally falls three fences from home.I am so close to the TV screen jumping up and down and shouting at the screen,Mr Kandy tells me not to get so excited and goes   You can tell he isn't a horse lover :D :D

Perhaps Mr Kandy is like me - I hate to watch racing and to see the jockeys whipping the horses and as for the horses falling - don't they often shoot them if they are injured.
    Some fun! :(

thats the sad part about racing, iff they take a bad fall especially iff they break a leg yes unfortnately they have to be put to sleep iff the break is to bad, jockeys these days cannot use the whip forcebly now, or their banned which is a good thing.

kandy at some of the prices 50 pence is not going to get you much back we bet from £10 upwards to win.

jjordie,I hate to see the horses fall and I know they don't whip them like it seems. If the horse was whipped it wouldn't jump the fence. It is the only race I watch and have been watching it since my childhood days, though some years if we are busy we only hear it on the radio.
    Gogs :D :D

Rosa, only joking about the 50p.I wouldn't be too sure how much would be good to bet on those odds.I used to like watching Desert Orchid, and my friends husband new the form of all the runners and riders [IMG] [IMG]

Morning everyone.Hope you are all well.I have only just got on here, due to the fact that I didn't want to get up...yawn..I feel so slow and sluggish today, but then I feel like that every day in the winter. They have just given it out on the news that a suspected case of foot and mouth has been found on a farm in Essex. We don't want that again...

Rosa, hope you have a great time at the races, and I hope you have a safe journey there and backxxxx
