kandyfloss, thats excactly what he said you need to find a hot spot and i asked him how are these people using them on trains and the such like he said they are pre charged and these people pay for the service, he reckons if you find a hot spot and connecting into a broadband hot spot of someones elses it is illegal.
so it looks like i will have to get broadband in wales, the only other thing i could do is get tiscali to transfer me from here to wales and thats no good as it means disconnecting this pc so i dont really want to disturb this one after i am getting it all sorted out tuesday.

 

forgot to say kandy, this steve said whether you are wireless or not you still need a telephone socket for you to get onto your broadband, i can use the lap top of a radius around the home in any room its pretty much the same thing as a cordless telephone.

sorry shiney just noticed your reply, will be pleased myself really truth be known when i changed over to tiscali i should of got this guy then to change me over as he did this pc just over a year ago and i had no problems until then.
pc world told me it wasnt tiscali he said it had something to do with the set up, so i shall leave it to the expert and this guy is inexpensive and he knows what he is doing.speak later

thanks kandy, yes its most unusual that shiney is not with us this morning, maybe he is having problems getting on, anyway shiney in case i miss you have a great weekend will speak on tuesday after i get this pc sorted.
