    Shiney...Sugar Daddy...Hope you have a good day,and not too hectic a weekend.

Glad to hear the shed went up well and you didn't have any bits left over...

    Did you enjoy the curry?

How about your own blog on your hobby, once you get your speed up on the PC?

    Hi Everyone

It has been peeing down here for the last two hours. Although the shed is up [IMG] [IMG] I still have to lay a floor in there before everything can be put away. That means that everything that was in the two sheds I had has been sitting in the garden for the last three weeks.  Hope to finish it by the weekend.

There is not a hope of getting my connection speed up. As you know, we don't have cable running where we are and BT say that it is likely to take at least 2 or 3 years for them to make capacity in the telephone exchange for our village to have broadband. We are still on the old fashioned shared line with our neighbour. In the old days that meant that we couldn't make a phone call if our neighbour was on the phone! although it is still the same line that we share, the modern!! technology allows us both to use the line at the same time now. When we do eventually get broadband we won't be able to receive it at full speed because we are too far from the exchange. The joys of living out of town!! [IMG]

In order for BT to comply with the government's promise for schools to have broadband, they have fitted the village school with a radio connection. I don't know how much the equipment cost but there were two vanloads of men working for over a week - so it was probably a three hour job [IMG] [IMG]

    Have a great day everyone.

[IMG] A "Party Line" then Shiney.... See why it is such a problem..!! Shiney, we are a small village with no cable... We are told we will never get it..!!! BT said the same for broadband... After a couple of letters to BT they said if we could get enough people interested they would put the broadband connection in....... THEY HAVE & it is brilliant... Maybe you could do something like that shiney..??? We had to petition the village for it but enough of us wanted it.... By the way, hardly any of us use BT either as our provider...!!!! ;) Give BTs cage a rattle shiney... [IMG]

    Thanks MF
The village have been rattling BT's cage for a couple of years now. They originally said that they couldn't see themselves having the capacity until they make the exchange bigger. Now it appears that all it needs is new equipment and we are rattling as hard as we can. [IMG] [IMG]

It is hard enough to get them to replace the telephone poles when drunken drivers smash them down! [IMG] [IMG]

    Morning Kandy,
Drizzling here (again!). Been raining the majority of this week, oh, apart from when I'm at work! Seems to wait for me to get home before the rain starts. Feel like I'll never get the digging finished.
Hope everyone has a good day [IMG]

Morning Kandy, windy and Gogs and everyone else who logs on here later.

After the heavy rain all day yesterday it is lovely to see the bright sunshine out there.

Only Kandy's, MF's and my avatars have appeared so far today. Maybe windy's, Gog's and rosa's are still asleep!!! [IMG] [IMG]

    Have a great day.
