Rosa, are you trying to get white watercolour or permanent white gouache?

I don't bother with white watercolour, too transparent most of the time and our local art shop don't stock it any more as nobody buys it!

But I do use watercolour more like oils most of the time, so each to his own! :D

will probably get that white gouache iff i can get it at my local art shop, do you use gouache for mixing your colours also.
I also use them like oil also a bit thicker but when i start with a background colour its quite watery, then i add colour a bit thicker say for the clouds.

Rosa, there are several stores here selling canvasses, including one of the big DIY chains. Painting is popular here so it's reasonably catered for.

Even in England I never bought expensive canvasses, and mine have survived just about every abuse that could be slung at them! Here, stretched canvasses start at 1,49, about £1.

I can hear DAG cringing from here ...

I have a stack of canvases ready for oil painting some day, only buy them when I see them in cheap shops. But even the art shop has cheap ones now, so times are changing!

Morning, rosa, and those not in Wakey, wakey!

It's sunny and 14.4 already so it will be a nice day here, although we have rain forecast for the next seven days at least! I don't mind if it's at night and we have these beautiful mornings.

Have a good day all of you!
