I thought I would join in [IMG] :D

I've just posted these on another thread so I hope you won't mind. [IMG]

I'm now going to pop out in the rain and dig up some plants for some friends who have made a new flower bed.

Good morning everyone, although it is just past noon here and about time for lunch, spare-ribs today.

Good idea to post a few bright pictures in this thread to get everyone in a good mood, I enjoyed them all.

Shiney, what is that lovely bell-shaped flower in your first picture?

Have a good day everyone, and a

    Hi Kedi

Although it doesn't look like other alliums it is allium siculum. A very rewarding flower. They open up like in the picture but as the flowers are finishing they all straighten up and form into a conical shape. They grow about 1m tall and seed very easily. I can send you some seeds when we have them. Give me a PM if you would like some. :D [IMG]

It was Mother's Day here last Sunday, the 6th. It was the 18th March in the UK, wasn't it? Today it's Australia, Canada and the USA.

Hi Kandy, we have clay soil and they spread like mad. What they don't like are soggy roots so as long as the drainage is good (compost or gravel) they do well. They always seem to want ot seed in any little crack in the patio. If you want some seeds just give me a PM. [IMG] [IMG]
