Good luck at the specialist, Helen [IMG]

Today has turned out nice and bright and the wind is gradually dropping. [IMG]

On the down side, no more getting the garden cleared up ready for my holiday - the doctor has told me that I have a hernia  and have got to take it easy. Mrs shiney is going to have to carry our cases [IMG] .

Going to put my feet up and have a cuppa and a read now :D

    Have a great day :D

Shiney sorry to hear about your Hernia  Probably doing too much in the garden trying to get it all done before you go to NZ.As the Doctor has told you to rest perhaps you would allow me to relieve you of your ticket as you must stay here and rest.Doctors orders [IMG] :D

What a good idea that was to get Mrs Shiney to carry the cases for you. That would be the sort of thing I would think of ;)

I do hope you start to feel better soon and do take it easy and let Mrs Shiney, give you a nice rest from all the washing, Ironing, cooking and cleaning that you do [IMG]

Nope, not at all. Apart form the fact that i'm skint, so have to make it myself.

I was thinking Lara Croft as i have plenty of camo tops, long dark hair to plait, big boobs and denim hot pants, plus i know i have big biker boots somewhere, buy darnit i'll never be slim enough in time. Lara was simply never size 14, and neither are my hot pants!!

My other options are modding my old prom dress to make me a moulin rougey cancan dancer, orrr a midsummer nights dream woodland nymph, as my sister has adorable little green wings, and i have tutorials to make cutey twirly horns, i figure i could make loads of leaves in different greens and fabrics and layer them onto a mini dress, and curl my hair over my horns with loads of body glitter and shimmery make up, but dont know what i'd do on my legs and feet...

Oo unless i wrapped gold organza in ribbons around some heely shoes and crisscross up my legs and paint my legs in swirly gold patterns with gold face paint? Maybe make a little gold and green garter?

[IMG] The can can girl is good, but I think the woodland nymph is a much better idea. The ribbons sound great as well. That is definitely a good idea Whiley. Will have a think this evening.. [IMG]

    Morning guys and girls.

Well the visit to the spine specialist yesterday was amazing that guy really knew his stuff I can tell you!

Such a lovely man didn't talk down to you nor say like all the doctors I'ave seen 'sorry don't know what we can do for you', he was pretty angry that for the last two years my doctors have just given me strong pain killers to mask the pain instead of trying to find the cause.

He was totally honest with me and said although he can't make me pain free (it's been too long for that)he can at least make me able to bear the pain a little bit better and get me off the drugs, so it's physiotherapy here we go!

While I was laying on the bed 'of many wonders' Bob was amazed how the guy was able to tell me what and where the pain was coming from and talk me through it just like an AA man does when I have broken down in the car in the past.

So now I'm looking forward to 2008 a little bit more than before and of course starting again with my garden.

Thanks guys for keeping me strong you're the best! ;)
    Helen.xxx.

Morning Helen Walnut Woo and everyone else who follows.

The wind has now died down to an acceptable level so won't need as much hairspray as normal [IMG] :D but have heard through the grapevine that it is going to get worse as the day and weekend goes on..

Helen, glad to hear that all went well with the spine specialist, though I am surprised that they didn't say anything about an MRI scan first before the Physio
Mind you I had to put that thought into his head first and was told it would take me three months to get one of those done on the NHS so as my Osteopath had suggested it I let her book me a private one which I paid for myself.

When I had mine done it was very very noisy and a bit claustraphobic and I didn't feel quiet right afterwards for quiet some hours but at least it showed that the bottom Vertebrea had degenerated with age and normal wear and tear but I had two bony outgrowths that were pressing on the Sciatic nerve.By the time I had got into seeing the Consultant it was starting to get better, but it came back with a vengence while we were on our holiday in September.I then had to go and have some Piriformis work done because it had gone into spasm and that work was murder but touch wood I am a lot better now and I am now looking forward to starting the year afresh, and will hopefully through taking it slowly be able to sort out the weed problem on our allotment that took hold because we hardly touched it this year.Good luck with your Physio and I do hope you can find some relief.

Sorry to bore anybody reading this long post, but please remember it is good to talk and help each other with our aches and pains, after all, that are what friends are for to lend an ear and offer support when needed [IMG]

Hope you all have a great day in all you do

You're so right Kandy, i dont know what i'd do without you guys if you didn't cope with my gripes and grumbles through the day! I'm so sorry you went through those struggles Kandy, and of course tackling them now Helen! Its so exciting to hear the prospects of better health!!

I've heard of this wonder drink and natural tablets which are amazing for immunity and energy problems- its Aloe Vera drinks and bee pollon tablets. I'm really keen to try them, it would be so so amazing if i could go through the day without falling asleep standing up!

Well i heard last night that we have Johns sister staying over tonight with her partner and i looked aorund the house, and panicked. Where i've been doing work again after such a long time but been so tired when i came in [as you all would know! I've not really been that active on here since i started work again!] the place is a tip! So i ran around for a while last night trying to tidy things and hoover and put away and make the spare bed but still got lots to do, and I'm going out at midday for christmas shopping and drinkies!

So i'm going to go grab my cup of tea and notebook and write me up a list of whats left to do so i can tackle it properly!

Have a lovely weekend all! Thinking of you all on this gruesome coloured day!
