    Good morning all.

Just having a nice cuppa and then it's back to bed I go.....too cold to stay up yet or is it I'm just being a little nesh? :D

Kandy it's really quite shocking how many 'cowboys' there are out there (sorry Ste) every piece of work we have had done on our house has been over priced and has not finished to the standard we required lucky for us Bob is quite handy (like your beloved Mister Kandy)and has been able to achive the standard we are happy with.
Hope you all have a lovely weekend no matter what the weather's like! Hel.xxx.

Hope you early birds managed to get some sleep. :D Up early this morning because Willow was sharpening his claws on the stir carpet grrrrr and it drives me mad....

We have had solid rain for the last two days and more if forecast for the weekend. My lawn is all squelchy again and my Norht border has standing water on it.If we had known we were gpoing to have that problem we would have dug it all out before we palnted our trees so now there isn't a lot that we can do about it. :( We have added loads of grit and compost but it hasn't done much good so we will have to put in some willows to suck allt he water up.

Helen,I keep telling Mr Kandy that he should have been in the building trade. It just amazes me how he knows how to do all these jobs.He even rebuilt his old Escort that he had years ago, took all the engine out and swopped it for another one.I wouldn't know where to begin.

Hope you all have a lovely day in all that you do and don't forget to put the clocks forward one hour so we will lose our sleep but it will stay lighter for longer.I expect it will put my body clock all out again....

    Good morning all,
Well my resident blackbird woke me at 5 this morning! As i didn't go to sleep till well after 12 i could have done with a bit more sleep.

never mind it's a lovely morning although the forecast isn't good.

Hel & Kandy, you're right about cowboys. I don't think they understand how much distress it causes. You are both lucky to have 'handy' men unfortunately my o/h & me can't do anything ourselves :( We try sometimes but...

    Have a good Saturday everyone.

    cheers

    Good morning everyone.

Fortunately all builders are not cowboys. We had some cowboys do work for us in 1976 after we had taken all the recommended precautions. They ended up losing a hell of a lot because of it but that didn't stop us having the trauma of the problem. Last year we had our garden room built by a great team of builders. They did a fantastic job and they were always so cheerful that it was a pleasure having them here even though there was disruption for four months. [IMG] [IMG]

Hi Imp, enjoy the match - I wondered who their fan was [IMG] [IMG] :D

Morning all - lovely and sunny here at the moment! Got some more seeds planted this morning and lots of those I planted on monday are popping up!

Don't know if I'll get any more gardening done today as it's Mr DBs birthday today and my baby (who just turned 18) is leaving home tomorrow to work as an aupair - fortunately she will only be an hour away so I will still see her some weekends. Any way we are very busy packing!

    Lovely pics Rosa

    Dizi,
Many happy returns to mr D. Mixed emotions today then. Still your daughter is not too far away. Think, you can have some peace but still get enough chaos on visits [IMG]

Have a good day, enjoy it.

    cheers
