Morning everyone, I am up before the lark this morning. Went to bed too early last night!

WOO so that is where all the bouncibility has gone. Shame it has landed in shadow and no sun to charge its batteries. I guess we are going to have to wait until Spring before we hear any more from it. By then it may be too late if it gets burnt to a frazzle.

Shiney, hope that foot of yours is back on the mend again.

Loli, its the hundreds of sparrows I get here that keep pinching all the Tits peanuts. I have to replenish the feeders every day, it is getting very expensive as you say!

Zigs, hope you have had enough wind power now, can we tone it down a bit?

Eve, hope the dogs are settling in well. Sure will keep you busy!

Waves to M and all our other lovely friends on here.
Have a good day all, stay safe and well, warm and dry, God bless. :wub2:

          Aloha everyone,

My foot is feeling a lot better, thanks :blue thumb:

I've already started prepping the food for today. We're having chicken casserole, veggie chilli, veggie Thai curry, plain rice, saffron rice, salads, garlic ciabatta, mixed fresh fruit sald, chocolate pots (with Baileys :)), mixed fruit compote. It all has to be ready for 12.30 p.m. on the dot!

It's an interesting choice for the name of the mission and the probe. The hieroglyphics on the obelisk of Philae (now in Dorset at Kingston Lacey) was used together with the Rosetta Stone to work out what the Egyptians were writing. I suppose they are hoping to be able to decipher a lot of information from the probe.

The Philae Temple is one of the ancient Egyptian sites that was moved from its original position. It is now on an island so you approach by boat.

          197_9721.JPG

It can also be visited at night

Their religion put great significance to having seven doorways to the inner temple. Only priest were allowed in the inner three.

We can't have a gardening forum without plants so here are a couple of shots of what they have growing on the site.

Gosh, those photo's of Egypt bring back memories. :)

I was there on holiday over 20 years ago. I expect the buildings are still there, :heehee:, though
there was none of the armed guards when we were there.

Does that still happen now? I not heard of anything on the news lately.

              Aaaahhh memories.:)

Got woken up by the geese flying over, there were hundreds of them (slight exaggeration:biggrin:) a huge dark skein of them and the noise was amazing:wub2: I always want to hum the Battle of Britain theme and salute when I see that sight... Aloha everyone,

Yesterday went well, although it was a bit tough on my foot as I spent about six hours standing on the hard floor in the kitchen. A successful day (and days of preparing :)) that will pay for our next week in the Lakes. :blue thumb:

A misty start this morning but very still.

Keep well and have a great day

                      Good morning everyone,

Very foggy out there this morning. Sinuses are bad this morning. Don't think we are in for much of a day. Rain again from what I can make out.
Have a good day everyone, stay safe, warm and dry and above all well. God bless.:wub2:
