      Good morning everyone,

Brrrrr,it's a nippy one..there's one advantage to this frosty weather, the ground is rock solid so no muddy paws:thumbsup:

I heard on the radio the other day that the darkest period of Winter is between the 13th and the 30th of December so we're nearly through it:yes: Roll on Spring:wub2:

Take it easy and take care everyone:SUNsmile:

I know one thing my chest is very bad this morning feels as though I have a lead weight on it. Both front and back! Obviously the antibiotics have just failed again. I do not know yet what the results of the x rays are but I hope it shows what's going on in there!

Edit, Just got through to docs on the phone, I have another appointment with the doc tomorrow, but to all intent and purposes my x ray proved clear?! So who knows what is going on.

          Afternoon all

Another frosty but sunny day here, it's bitterly cold too.

For the first time for as long as I can remember I'm really bored. I still have limited mobility in my right arm so can't do the decorating I'd planned or any of the other jobs I need to do. I've read loads of books, planned my seed sowing for next year and drafted a rough plan of how I might change things in the garden. I need to find some other things to do till I can start physio in the new year and get more use out of this arm. Not meant to sound like a 'woe is me' post, I know there are loads of people far worse off than me, I just hate not being able to get on with things.

Sorry you're still having chest problems Moyra. Fingers crossed your doctor comes up with an effective treatment for you tomorrow.

Hope everyone else is well and keeps safe and warm in this icy weather

            Afternoon all,

Moyra,So pleased the Xrays are clear:dbgrtmb: but you still need something to get you back to full strength ,here's hoping the Doc comes up with a solution :fingers crossed:

How many times have I wittered about getting some days off over Christmas:rolleyespink: but @lost_in_france and @wiseowl I feel just the same,I've been at a loose end all day and going stir crazy:doh: It's frozen solid out there so no gardening,I have checked the GH and alls well in there.I do have a house guest though,my poor old Daisy chook:chicken:...First thing she was huddled up in the coop looking really poorly, brought her in and gave her some warm mash and a drink and she's cozy in the kitchen now and staying here overnight to see how she fairs. She's actually looks a fair bit better than she did first thing but the little tinker will only eat and drink if she's spoon fed..wonder who's fault that is:whistle:I was worried her two sisters might fall out with her with her being removed from the flock but they've been in visiting:blue thumb:.Daisy is a poorly old girl but she's recovered the last 3 times in the last year or so so it won't hurt to keep trying:thumbsup:

              Aloha everyone,

              Loli, Daisy looks comfy :)

I had to phone a cousin for help yesterday. We've had our Smart TV for seven months now and Mrs Shiney decided she wanted a programme recorded. I pressed all the buttons on the remote control and checked all the options (over a hundred of them!) but couldn't find what I wanted. There's no printed handbook as it's one of the built in options on the TV.

As I was typing in (on the online keyboard) things such as 'record a programme' it kept trying to help me with lots of other suggestions as I was still typing. This 'Smart TV' doesn't know when to shut up and let me type what I want :mute:. It took all of 30 seconds for my cousin to tell me how to find the right option .

It's even colder out there this morning than it has been for the last few days!

Keep well, keep warm and have a great day

              Aloha!

                Good morning everyone,

Shiney it certainly is colder out there this morning. My poor fuchsias are covered but I am not sure they can stand this cold. They are not technically hardy fuchsia although they are two years old. They survived last winter but then we did not have it this cold.

Loli, Daisy looks very comfortable and says why stand the cold outside when I can be warm indoors! It is nice that the others come in to see her.

Eve, so sorry that arm of yours is still far from right. Do hope you can get some physio on it soon.

WOO hope you are ok this morning dear.

Zigs, hope you are managing to keep snug and warm down there.
Have a good day everyone, stay safe, dry and warm and above all well. God bless. :wub2:

                  Good morning everyone,

Moyra, wrap up well for your appointment, hope it goes well:thumbsup:

Shiney...I wouldn't know where to start trying to record something off the telly:doh: these Smart tellys are too smart for me:rolleyespink:...

Daisy seems to have had a good night and is slowly wandering around the conservatory, she's not out of the woods yet but she looks brighter than she did:blue thumb: I need to intergrate her back with the other girls but I can't bare the thought of her being out in this weather so I'll see what today brings.

It looks lovely out there, brilliant sunshine and a thick frost but very coooold...

Take it easy everyone, have a great day and take care:SUNsmile:

                    Morning early people :)

Mortal world turned to ice again :yikes: Just pulled the thermometer out of the onion bed, it's actually 1c, don't feel it.

According to my marvelous Chinese weather station it's minus 4c in here  How do they consistently turn out stuff that doesn't work? Still haven't forgotten the lemon squeezer that melted when exposed to lemon juice

Have a good day everyone and don't catch ebola :yikes:
