Moyra, have you had an eye test recently? It may be worth having one so that you can send a copy of the results to them. Opticians will give you a copy if you ask. It may be much quicker than getting something from your doctor.

Shiney, I have regular eye tests and field vision tests at Orsett Hospital and I have had a recent diabetic Retinal eye examination and they were pleased with results. The results of Orsetts test in April were sent to my doctor recently, I was sent a copy not that it means much to me. Apart from that I have had a brilliant day to day doing all my housework and changing sheets getting the washing done and also cutting the grass. I am amazed how much better I have been today. I am hoping I have broken it and am now on the mend but I guess I shouldn't shout too soon.

Just watching the Brasil Germany game +4-0 to Germany how brilliant!

    Aloha everyone,

We had about an hour of drizzle yesterday. It will help the plants a bit but it's not doing anything for the big cracks in the ground.

That sounds brilliant, Moyra :yay:. Let's hope you continue to feel good :blue thumb:

We have something new here in the village. About three times a year we have an old fashioned fun fair on the village green (rides, helter-skelter, sideshows etc.) but this week we have a circus. It has the smallest 'big top' that I've ever seen!

Have a great day  (when you get up :heehee:)

    Aloha!

    Good morning everyone,

    Hope everyone is tickety Boo:dbgrtmb:

Moyra...It's great to hear you're feeling so much better:yes:...take it steady..onward and upwards:spinning:

    Zig...What's a 'Hump' day?...must be a southern thing:biggrin:

Shiney...So the Circus is in town with a 'Little Top':heehee:..It does sound fun though:blue thumb:

    Woo...I see you've set yourself a big project:phew: go easy:thumbsup: it's going to be great when it's done:dancy:

Theo has been 'grounded':rolleyespink:...I think the little 'Jack' from 'next door' is leading him astray:doh:...I thought they were going to have a 'fall out' ..The couple next door are keen cyclists and have their bikes with them, one of them is equipt with a little basket for 'jack' and as they rode off yesterday Theo was none too pleased his pal had gone off without him and had a barking session which he never normally does..:nonofinger:...it took him ages to settle down and a long walk around Fountains Abbey seemed to do the trick:dbgrtmb:
Got a frantic call from my Mum last night to say they'd had a huge storm back home:hate-shocked:and the gardens were underwater also turns out my Dad was at my house at the time and rain was pouring in through both the conservatory and conservatory/kitchen roofs:doh:and the electrics have 'gone'....I've told them not to worry about it and will sort it when we get back..What a carry on:rolleyespink:...My chooks and tomatoes are OK though:chicken::phew::heehee:

Mr Loli and I had an interesting 'discussion' about sat navs:rolleyespink:...but we won't even go there eh:rolleyespink:I've never heard so much rot in all my life:lunapic 130165696578242 5:...

Annnyway...I hope you all have a great day:dbgrtmb:

    Take care everyone:SUNsmile:

      Good morning all,

Lot cooler this morning thankfully. Still feeling a lot better, but it is early yet.

Loli, Poor Theo lost his mate. Still I expect he soon forgot his as soon as you took him out for a walk.

Zigs, hope you get some more work soon.

Shiney we should get a drop more rain later in the day and the old wind is going to get up, it's already quite breezy out there.

Well have a good day everyone. God bless. :wub2:

Zigs, good luck with the pricing of the job. :blue thumb:

Loli, I hope everything is OK back home :fingers crossed:. Keep a firm control on Theo  and show him who's boss. :snork:
SatNavs are a tool and not a master. They're there to be used to help but not replace a brain or common sense! I regularly say "No!":nonofinger: when it tells me which way to go - and Mrs Shiney has now got the habit of saying it for me :heehee:. I always work out my driving route by map and then use the SatNav to tell me of traffic problems and to get me the last mile or so - for which it is brilliant. The main route is always my own choice.

Moyra, I'm pleased you still feeling OK :). I don't want any trouble with wind today! :hate-shocked: :heehee:

Enjoy your day  It'll soon be lunch time as it's four hours since I had breakfast!

              Aloha everyone,

Steve, it's all in the mind :blue thumb: :).

I once, about 35 years ago, went to evening classes about psychology and one lot of homework was to draw a graph of our lives. The horizontal axis was to be the years and the vertical axis was to be the good and bad times. I drew a straight line across the graph at a high level (good times).

After we had handed our homework in the teacher then questioned a few of us and mine was picked out first. I was asked how I could consistently have good times and my answer was that it was quite easy. When things weren't going the way that most people would have planned I told myself that was the right way to get where I wanted to go. So everything was going well :dbgrtmb:.

Always look on the bright side of life

I'm sure that's how our fantastic Woo gets his bouncability :love30: :)

Here endeth the sermon for today! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

Mrs Shiney is off to the big city today to meet a friend from across the pond. I'll be slogging my guts out in the garden :heehee:. I've already done half an hour of weeding :blue thumb:

Keep well and have a great day

              Aloha!
