Hope all the poorly Woo family and Zigs are feeling better and that Moyra gets her energy back.

I am covered in itchy bites - something had a good feast on me yesterday.

      Good morning everyone,

Sorry not been around much of late but haven't been feeling too good with joint and muscle pains plus feeling exhausted all the time and was struggling to get up in the mornings.

Anyway decided to go and see my Dr a few weeks ago as I was getting quiet a bit of soreness in my ribs which was concerning me so the Dr examined me after listening to my concerns and ordered blood tests to find out what is going on.

Had three syringe fills taken and have had to wait two weeks for the results due to his holiday so went back yesterday for the results.

Had a bit of a shock when he told me I have weak signs of Rheumatoid Arthritis as I already have Osteoarthritis but he has now told me the blood tests show I have Systemic Lupus Erythematosus(SEL) No wonder I have been feeling pooh of late.

My Dr is now going to write to the Rheumology(spelling) department of our local hospital so I can go and have a chat and possibly more tests to see what treatment they can sort out for me.Still don't know what is going on with my ribs as I have never had them feel this sore before.Anyway, had to do a lot of Googling yesterday as I had heard about this problem on the radio years ago from someone with the problem but never really thought much about it.Luckily I don't have any butterfly rashes and my hair isn't dropping out which is a good thing, just feel tired and exhausted all the time with the painful joints and muscle pains.

My garden looks good with all the spring flowers and the allotment is coming along slowly although I am finding that a couple of hours working on there is enough for me and prefere to be out walking somewhere with Mr K.

Sorry to bore you all and hope that everything is going good with your lives and gardens.

Speak soon,Kandy.PS can't seem to find the smilies so don't know where they have gone to (scratch head)

What a shock Kandy. Hope you get a good treatment plan sorted out to manage your symptoms. And you're not boring us at all. Take care of yourself.

      Aloha everyone,

Kandy, sorry to hear of your problems and I hope they can sort something out quickly. :wub2: The drugs for it are usually quite effective. Cover up well when out in the sun :blue thumb:

Woo, you take it easy :)

I want to get some gardening done before the forecast rain sets in, and I have to go and run the afternoon bridge club.

We're having problems with our lovely cooking range. Some of the knobs aren't turning! So I phoned the manufacturers and they said we need new gas taps (the bits the knobs fit on) but they don't have them any more!!! The cooker is a Belling and they were taken over by Stoves a few years ago but are only using the name, so the older cookers aren't supported by them. It's only eight years old and quite expensive with three ovens and seven hobs. They offered me a 15% discount on a new one!

So, I have a choice of getting a new one, taking them to court over the product not being of good enough standard (that may seem unusual because of the age but it depends on the argument used - I got my TV tube replaced by the manufacturer after six years, it was £600, after issuing a summons) or I can do what I am doing . I've got an engineer coming in on Friday to see whether he can remove the taps and sort them out. I think that should be possible as it's not the gas that's a problem but a physical/mechanical problem. In my opinion, it's likely to be a seal or washer that has gone wrong from being affected by heat.

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

            Morning all,:)

Its overcast and still cool here, and starting to rain, supposed to for the next 5 days!! At least the grass will be nice and green!!:spinning:

I'm off shortly to do some deliveries for Brad, and I think that Natalie and Daniel are going to come with me, nice for some company for a change.:blue thumb:

I had planned on puttering in the gardens when I get back, but we'll see how bad the rain is, just need to separate some perennials, but no biggie if it doesn't get done for a few days.:dbgrtmb:

Off to make some breakfast........so enjoy your day everyone.:)

Morning Gdnam and wiseowl and the same to you.
Bit of a misty start here in WY but if it turns out as nice as yesterday I will be satisfied, two days in a row that I had the shorts on in the garden, hoping for the hat trick today:)

                Morning everyone,

Well all ready for the hospital eye clinic, the car is coming to pick me up at 9.30 for my appointment at 11.30 could have done without the two hour difference. Never mind I expect the others that I shall share the transport with are probably a lot earlier with their appointments they will curse me for having a later one.

I hope everyone achieved everything they set out to do yesterday, I know I did and am well pleased too. Have a good day everyone and do not go over doing it and lets have some more improvement in our ailing ones. God bless. :wub2:
