The only error in what you've put is that no Essex person would admit to being vegetarian :heehee:

Aloha everyone, I watched the jazz programme until 3 a.m. so no more lazing around :nonofinger:. Get thee off to the garden to carry on getting things ready :snork:

Rained in the night but stopped now. The weather map is showing heavy rain by 7 a.m. but cleared by 10 and not coming back until later. Let's hope so :)

See some of you later :hapydancsmil:

      Have a great day

      Aloha!

Morning all, hope you are well.

A bit gray and miserable here at the mo, and has just started to rain. I hope it brightens up as I get towards Shineyland. See you a little later on.

        Have a great day.

Hello everyone, sorry I did not get a chance to get on here earlier but didn't get time. It was lovely to meet up with you all again. Sorry I did not stop all that long but my legs were beginning to hurt quite a bit and I had forgotten to bring my tablets with me. It was a good run home and always seems quicker getting home than coming. It's about an hours run. Shame about the rain. Shiney cutting back that willow certainly opened up that area. Amber was crying she was so pleased to see me home. Well those that are going for the Indian meal tonight do have a good time. Have a good evening everyone, Goodnight, God bless. :wub2:

Was great to meet you @moyra even if only for a while. It's heart warming to know our furries miss us when we are out.

          Sleep tight.

Sorry I didn't get to see you @moyra - didn't get there until the afternoon myself. Hope your legs are easing up now.

I know what you mean about the furries - Ozzy nearly knocked me over he was so thrilled to see me. Thankfully, training is paying off and he sat halfway into a leap (no mean feat that!) He's only just calming down now :doggieshmooze: Echo (the cat) on the other hand is in sulk mode and is ignoring me :heehee: (He'll lurve me again when I go to bed because he does like to sneak in for a cuddle without being nudged and chased around by Ozzy :cat-kittyandsmiley: )

              Aloha everyone,

It was a good day, despite the rain and I've only shrunk a little bit. :heehee:

It was wonderful to see so many of you and great that you managed the drive here, Moyra :grphg:

I was on the go from 4.30 a.m. yesterday and, literally, didn't get to sit down until 6 p.m. I needed some help to get up out of my chair to go off to the Indian as my back had locked up!

It's not hurting too much now as I took one of Mrs Shiney's magic potions and I think a long hot shower should help to make it better.

We hope that the sun will bring a lot more people today

Then will be the big task of clearing everything up - marquees to be dismantled and ready for taking away, 16 x 6ft tables to be cleaned, stacked and taken away, 60 chairs to be cleaned and stacked, hundreds of books to be boxed and stored in the loft, unsold plants to be found storage space (might make a special plant sale coffee morning in a few week's time). All the rest of the borrowed equipment etc. to be returned to whoever let us have them and a tour round the garden to see if anyone has dropped things without realising - always happens (have even found a wallet in the past!).

Tomorrow we draw the raffle. That's a tedious task. There are over 40 prizes and we have to keep a chart. The prizes get laid out on the floor of the lounge in an approximate order of value and a list made. Then we draw the tickets and record the name of the winner and their phone and email alongside. Then all of the winners have to be notified and arrangements made to get their prizes to them. If they're people that we see at clubs etc. we take them with us, others are asked to pop in at some time. Any winners that come a long way normally ask us to keep their prize until they come next year - or they pick up when they're next in the area. One of the prizes would have come in useful yesterday - a fold up Burberry umbrella :heehee:

              Have a great day

              Aloha!

Morning to Wiseowl, Shiney and everyone.
Hope that everything went well for all of you who made the journey to visit "The Shiney's" and the day was good.
Thunderstorms here yesterday evening and another grey morning.
Have as good a day as you can everyone.

Morning all, hope you are well.

Bit of a lay in this morning, but now I am up and the sun is shining time for a spot of gardening.

                Have a great day.

I would have liked to cut my grass but I think it is still far too wet for that and my legs have not recovered from yesterday.
