      Good Morning All,

Loli, Thanks it was lovely seeing you and the others all again and some new faces too. I did not see Eve there LIF did she not make it? Do have a safe journey home.

Shiney, do hope yesterday was successful and that you are now getting your garden sorted back to something resembling normal.

WOO and LWW thanks for keeping our thread on here warm for us while we were absent.

Have a good day everyone, expect they are all putting their plants in they purchased. Not so nice out there this morning but please make the best of it. God bless. :wub2:

Morning all, it's a lovely sunny morning here in WY. I have just had Bailey out for his walk just in case the rain decides to come back later.
Have a safe journey back to "God's Own County" Lolli.
        No probs Moyra, welcome back.
Enjoy your day Gdnam and wiseowl.

Morning all, hope you are well.

Start a new contract this morning, so a bit like starting a new job. Earlier start than the last one, so have to be up and ready. Wish the rain would stop now!

          Have a great day.

          Good luck, Steve

Haven't seen sight of the sun (yet!) Woo, but I have faith it is there, somewhere, behind the clouds :fingers crossed:

Chooks are done; cat is fed and watered; dog fed, watered, exercised ... now it's time to get a wiggle on, don the uniform and head out into the big, wide world with my nose to the grindstone :paladin:

Wishing you all a day of sunshine in your hearts xMx

            Aloha everyone,

I've had a busy weekend :heehee:. Twenty GC members turned up on Saturday and I was really pleased that you made it, Moyra :yay:. We all knew you would do it :). Even two of our very new members made it - Rich Garden and Turned Thespian :hapydancsmil:. Mr Grinch and family turned up on Sunday  - I dug up a couple of plants of 'bunnies ears' for the kids :)

We're still sorting things out. Finished tidying up at 5 p.m. yesterday and I was just packing the components of the smaller marquee when it started raining :phew:. We just have the fairly long job of drawing the raffle and letting all the winners know. It gets a bit complicated. There are 50 or more prizes so the first job is for Mrs Shiney to spread them on the floor in rough value order. I then have to write them down on a chart, then we draw the tickets and write the name, phone number and email alongside the prize. All that takes us about two hours.

Then I have to phone or email them all (try phone first) to arrange for them to pick them up or for us to hold them for next year. If it's something like a voucher or a small piece of jewellery we can mail it - but most things aren't. This job takes between two and three hours!

For those of you that haven't seen the result - we broke all records, despite the weather, and the charity will end up with about £4,000 :dancy:

A couple of hundred books that were on our bookstall will be collected today by some (up the road) who is having a charity coffee morning, in their garden, next month. The rest are stored away and we have people delivering more books all throughout the year.

Steve, do you change your name each time you change your job :heehee:

Moyra, Eve couldn't make it as her father is ill.

I'm going to get an emergency appointment at the chiropodist (he won't charge for it) as I've got a small lump come up right under the centre of my foot and it's awkward, and a bit painful, for walking. I think it's something that can be popped :hate-shocked: but I'd better have professional advice.

I shall now be able to start catching up on everything I've neglected for the past few months. Should have it sorted by next Open Garden :heehee:.

Sarafi is pleased we sold so many plants (took almost £1,500) as he can now get his shelf in the greenhouse back. He spent most of yesterday asleep on it :cat-kittyandsmiley:

            Have a great day

            Aloha!

Shiney...£4,000  a marvellous result:love30:....When I was in your GH I was having a look to see if Sarafi was anywhere to be seen, bet he's glad to see the back of some of the plants to get his spot back:)

Arrived back here early evening and was amazed to see how the garden has grown in a week, lots to catch up on,I'm sure when I opened the GH the tomatoes were begging for more elbow room:rolleyespink: they've got even more new 'friends' now thanks to Shineyland so there's another job to do:biggrin:
