Yes, but Mrs Shiney says she's spotted another one this morning. Half of our courgettes have gone :mute:

@shiney good luck with your appointment  (and the wabbits! PS: I lurve roasted rabbit)

:sofa: An unexpected "afternoon off" work :sofa:
I think we are spawning what, at best, could be described as: The Jeremy Kyle Generation :hate-shocked:
Came under a verbally abusive personal attack at work this morning from the Prima Donna of the team who turns everything into a drama of tsunami proportions :hate-shocked:
Totally unexpected, uncalled for, and ... erm ... well, I'm stunned (to say the least!). Think this is what Belbin meant by the term "storming". :heehee: I could have retaliated but I really don't want to lower myself to that level: so, decided upon a tactical, dignified retreat as the appropriate course of action :coffee:

I'm going to steal a forbidden hour or two in my garden with my furboy and count my (positive) blessings while decimating a daisy or two :heehee:

Remember: I've had the bad day so that none of *you* need to ;)

        Miles of smiles xMx

Just got back from appointment. Contact dermatitis, likely to have been aggravated/started by walking about 18 hours a day for three successive days, in wellies, over the weekend.

                        Hello all

Sorry not to have been around much lately, have been lurking a bit but not posting. My father has been quite ill, and then had a stroke, and is in hospital and I've spent most of the time either up at the hospital, giving his house a good scrubbing from top to bottom or trying to get to grips with the jungle his garden had become. Left me feeling mentally and physically weary for a while but he seems to be improving now and is going to be transferred to another hospital which deals with stroke rehabilitation as, though he regained his speech and use of his arms quite quickly he can't walk at all or even stand unaided. And I've got the house and garden looking a bit more presentable so am feeling much brighter myself.

Lots of good thoughts to everyone and hope you all have a sunny and relaxing weekend

                                Aloha everyone,

Eve, I hope your father soon gets the use of his legs back. My father did after his first stroke, and lived a reasonably active life for another four years.

What a beautiful morning! :)

I went into the garden about an hour ago to feed the birds. They were singing their little hearts out:hapydancsmil: It was either that, or they were telling me to fill up the feeders :heehee: I filled the first feeder and whilst I was taking it across the lawn to hang it on the stand three young blue tits landed on it and started eating. They couldn't have been more than about 12" from my face and they were beautiful. :wub2:

                                Have a great day

                                Aloha!
