I honestly believe if you stick with the Variefocals you will be much better off, them with the sun sensitive are beautiful. I would never use anything else. I hope you can persevere.
All the best have a great evening everyone

:grphg: Love and luck to all my Wakey WAKEY fellows :grphg:

Be patient with yourself, my friend :grphg: First off, you are having to get used to having specs AT ALL! Secondly, you are having to adjust to having specs which you have to "navigate" ;) It is only day 2 (bless ya heart!), but, you will adjust! Just don't wear them for too long in one go - you'll likely get a headache and then think "blow pobs" to it all.

Now, let's simplify: maybe .. just maybe you will need the lower half for eating and the upper half for Harry ... but (!) ... when it comes to drinking ... take the beggars off because .. it'll make no difference OVERALL!!! :ccheers: *hic* :lunapic 130165696578242 5: (but, might save you a few bob in replacements :heehee: )

Bought some tubs yesterday to put my plants in that I hope to be taking to a new and better home before too long :fingers crossed:
Both my boys are now well and truly home :yay: Had a mahoosive Sunday lunch today and celebrated Model #1's birthday (10 days later, but, hey ho! :heehee: ) I am just happy that they are happy  (plus, realistically - this is most likely the last year where I take precedence aka pre-lurve! :lunapic 130165696578242 5: )

Back to work tomorrow, so summoning my "devil may care" vibes :heehee:

      Miles of smiles xxMxx

Hi Loli, I do, sometimes, get two hours :heehee:

We spent a lot of yesterday getting home from the Lake District and getting unpacked, putting the washing on, watering the garden and dealing with a stack of mail. Everything seems to have grown like mad whilst we were away. :hate-shocked:

Rabbits and slugs/snails have been at work. Eight courgette and squash plants are no more, some of the beans have gone, all the cosmos and sunflowers and a few others. I'm now declaring war on the rabbits and my trusty gun is now to hand! It has served me well over the last 58 years :blue thumb:

A large section of lawn, where we had the plant sales, is completely dead so I've got to work out what to do. The answer is likely to be 'nothing'!

          Have a great day

          Aloha!

            Shiney, that's a long drive:phew:...

This year has been the worst ever in my garden for 'pests'....I'm down to 4 runner beans:gaah:plus as you say the cosmos and sunflowers have been murdered too:rolleyespink: considering snails and slugs don't move very quickly the certainly eat fast:doh:

            Hope the lawn recovers:fingers crossed:

Morning Shiney, loli, wiseowl, hairy and everyone.
Agree with you about the pests, my French Beans have been almost wiped out. I am seriously considering trying these Nemotodes that I read about, has anyone used them, are they any good?
Anyway have a good day all, I will be shower dodging according to this mornings weather report.

Loli, the drive wasn't too bad :blue thumb:. Only 298 miles. It wasn't difficult sitting in a comfortable, air-conditioned, car listening to music :). Mrs Shiney usually sleeps most of the way. I only slept a part of the way! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

There was only one hold up when there was a nasty accident near Doncaster . It took 45 minutes to creep past it. We left at 10 a.m., after a very good breakfast, and were home at 3.15 p.m.

I've now dealt with all my phone messages and a lot of the snail mail. I've got through most of the emails in the last four hours so should be able to get out in the garden soon. :dbgrtmb:

Just checking in. All ok here. Recovery is now speeding ahead with physios . I've even eaten some fruit the last couple of days and done my exercise and gardening. Just got to find the energy for housework now. I just keep telling myself "baby steps"

Good Morning, my word you have all been busy and so have the snails and slugs. I don't mind the snails I can lob them over the wall into the road to meet their maker but slugs I hate they are such slimey creatures. I have heard that Nemotodes are very good so will be getting some myself too.

Shiney, glad you had a good trip and now it is down to work again, sorry!

Loli, Beautiful Rose and WOO recognises it straight away.

Hannah, take it easy! Waves to Steve, WOO and M

Please do not overdo things everyone and stay safe, God bless.:wub2:

Morning all, very muggy here this morning and going to be another very hot day.

Love your rose Loli, it's beautiful.

Glad you had a good holiday, Shiney. Feels like it's flown by. Back to the grindstone now.

Lovely to 'see' you Hannah and great news you are recovering now. Hope the children are both well too. Housework can wait, it will always be there whereas time in the garden is more dependant on the weather, so make the most of days in your garden.

Good thoughts to everyone, have a wonderful day.
